As a child, in 1960s-1971, I visited "The Grand" hotel to look at the foreign cars parked in front of it. Since my returns to Warsaw, either on holiday or on business since 1995, I have witnessed many changes made to the "Grand" which is now the "Warszawa Grand Mercure Hotel". The hotel has the great location (for me it is also nostalgic as I lived nearby on Nowy Swiat 7 near the "Trzech Krzyzy Plazza" (Three Crosses Square and church)). It is very conveniently placed to taxis, public transport on "Jerozolimskie Aleje" or "Nowy Swiat street" leading to major Warsaw attractions like the "Stare Miasto=Old Town and Kings Palace" or "Royal Route" from Old Town to "Lazienki Park" down to "Wilanow Kings Summer Palace" and of course to all the businesses situated in the centre of Warsaw's business district. The hotel is very modern. Rooms are suitable for individual living as well as for larger families. You can select what you need. It offers the "best breakfast experience in the world". Yes, it is true. From North America, Australia, Far East, Africa, including great places in South Africa (RPA) and its magnificent hotels, Europe-nobody serves such magnificent breakfasts as the Warszawa Grand Mercure ! This time it also included great traditional Polish "Easter Sunday" type of menu ! It is worth mentioning that the hotel employs most professional, caring and pleasant staff. Our recent visit (April 2025) with family, to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary and my wife's 70th birthday, was met with complementary champaign bottle, chocolates and a great framed note with celebratory message from the hotel staff. It shows how they care for their quests! It is worth mentioning the following ladies: Panie Joanna Kozakiewicz, Joanna Lechowicz, Joanna Piotrowska i Patricja Rogalska! Well done and thank you so much !

Couple of young front desk young men, despite being efficient in checking in foreign guests, could not bother to "go out of their way" to assist us (without being prompted...) to help the family with very small baby and lots of suitcases on the 6th floor to organize a baggage trolley to bring suitcases down on check out (the hotel has no porter service). They should take marks from the above mentioned ladies staff how to be a "bit more caring and resourceful" in not so standard circumstances. It makes a difference and guests remember these things !

Check-in was very quick, and the staff were professional and pleasant. The room was clean and the pillows were perfect. The mattress was a little harder than I like, but I'm spoiled with a temper-pedic bed so take that comment with a grain of salt. The bathroom was stocked with shower gel and soap, which I really appreciate since I rarely have those items on hand when landing at my destination. I really liked the workout room; the machines were in great condition and there were enough equipment options for a good workout. I didn't partake in any meals while I was there, but the options looked great. The hotel is in a great location, very close to Nowy Swiat street, and a short walk to the main city center and old town. The milk bar across the street, Bambino Milk Bar, served up some delicious and authentic Polish dishes that were very reasonably priced. It was my go-to spot for breakfast and lunch each day.

The layout of the room was ok with the exception of (I'm going to assume weight bearing) column in the middle of the room, which made getting in and out of the bathroom a little strange. It would be great if the bathroom door stayed open better because sometimes it would start to close as I was exiting, and the door handle would hit me on my left arm. Neither of these issues would prevent me from staying in this hotel again.

I recently stayed at the Mercure Warszawa Centrum in Warsaw, Poland, and I had an overall positive experience. The hotel's location is excellent, situated in the heart of the city center, just steps away from the Palace of Culture and Science and Złote Tarasy shopping mall. It's also conveniently close to the main transport hubs, including the central railway station. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed, offering various options from standard to superior accommodation. My room was clean and featured modern amenities, including air conditioning, a mini-bar, and high-speed internet access.

Excellent location, just 10 min walk from center. Very friendly and helpful staff. Reception lady speaking Ukrainian! The best breakfast we’ve ever had. Excellent choice of wines in restaurant. Late check-out and luggage storage locker. Cleaning lady was patient, as we were slightly late to vacate the room.

All was perfect this time. On previous visits - finding way to car park was somehow a quiz. Entering with large car is a bit challenging due to sharp steep turn in access tunnel.

A typical well-designed Mercure close to public transportation but on a quiet street. It has a nice lobby and a superb buffet breakfast. There was a wine bar that I did not visit, but others seemed to like it. The elevators were always available, which can sometimes be a problem in a large hotel when you are on an upper floor.

The room was perfect for a solo traveler. However, the lighting situation could be problematic if there is someone else in the room. The only way to turn on the bathroom and hallway lights is to turn on bright ceiling lights all over the room -- it's all or nothing! It should be an easy fix. The front desk staff seemed to know all about this problem, my guess is they get complaints all the time. The glass wall that looks into the shower and bathroom did not bother me as I was by myself, but it could be an issue despite the curtain one can draw across that wall.

The room was very modern and well designed. I liked the transparent shower which could be a nice touch for a young couple. In every corridor there was a water fountain which provides both still and sparkling water. Room and the hotel in general was quiet and clean.

The hotel was located on a wide street which is a bit far from central locations. I don't know if it would be easy to get there without a car. The entrance of the parking is too narrow which also requires a rough turn so large cars might have a problem. Also they have the most uncomfortable pillows I have ever seen in a hotel. After 2 days of my stay I still had a neckache because of it

I really enjoyed the short stay in this historic hotel. It is a massive building in the style of socialist realism with an interior for the present tastes. There are a bunch of governement buildings in the near and the street was pretty quiet and clean. Just a few steps from the hotel there is a milk bar but also some restaurants and stores too. Also a great cocktail bar down the road. A few minutes walk an there were the stops to the public transport that we used. Now back to the hotel: very professional staff, a nice room, water dispenser on the hallways so you can fill up the caraffs you find in your room. Breakfast was great, we enjoyed the most the liver pate and that you can make your own juice from fruits and vegetables. I would recommend this hotel for couples. All the guests seemed nice people.

The hotel is beautiful, cozy, clean, located in the city center. Breakfasts are delicious and a large choice.

It is not possible to charge the electric car in the parking lot of the hotel (a plugin-hybrid machine and a full charge of a car 18 kW). I repeatedly appealed to the hotel reception to allow you to charge the car from the socket in the parking lot, usually for an additional fee. I was refused. It was recommended to charge a car on a nearby street - it is not convenient, since the charging station there is one and was constantly busy, in addition, the car was in the parking lot for 2 days (the price of 180 zlotys).

My priority was location, which is great. 2 km away from Warszawa Centralna, as well as city center. Friendly staff. I had some UPS delivery, which was given to me upon check in. Clean and quiet room. Comfortable bed. A/C heater is installed. They don’t have water in a room, however, tub water machine is installed in a hallway and you can refill water carafes from your stateroom as much as you wish. I requested taxi services and got in on time I set. Breakfast cost extra, however is absolutely worth it.

I definitely was missing simple slippers.
