I stayed at Hotel Metropol in pre Covid days. It was good then, and nothing has changed. The welcome was friendly when I checked in. My room was spacious and clean, breakfasts and dinners were good. For a city centre hotel, the cost was good too. As for location, this hotel is well situated. The old town is about 40 minutes walk away. Tram and bus stops are close by, and the metro station is across the road, as is the bus stop for the Chopin airport, which is about 30-40 minutes away and costs less than 1€/£1 per person. As the hotel is at the junction of east/ west and north/south tramlines, which is also a busy road junction, traffic noise starts to build up from 05.00 hours. In my room, at least, earplugs were provided, a thoughtful touch. I would definitely stay there again.

This isn't a dislike, but potential guests should be aware that the bar closes early, 21.00 hours. That gives people the option to explore nearby local bars or those on Nowy Swiat, about ten minutes walk away.

First and foremost, the location is vibrant and centrally located with abundant transportation options within a few block radius. We selected the location as being just a short walk to the central train station (Warszawa Glowny) where we would catch the EIP train to Gdansk (Krakow and other major cities). We LOVED the water filtration stations in the elevator lobby on each floor, which enabled us to refill our water bottles for free (with cold or room temperature water). We opted to include the buffet breakfast during our stay and were very pleased with both the quality of the food and the very wide selection available. And we loved the balcony overlooking the street with great views of the roundabout below. The hotel staff were highly responsive to our questions and requests (for more towels, etc.), and two packaged sets of earplugs were provided free of charge.

The noise and vibration of the trams crossing the tracks in the roundabout below are loud and strong. The first night it woke me up and I thought we might have been experiencing an earthquake! The earplugs help but do not eliminate the issue. Once we realized what was causing the vibration and noise we were able to ignore it for the most part. The view of the city from our room was worth the tradeoff of the noise.

Love the location but awful for noise 6am traffic beeping siren noise from police starting early morning . Wouldn't really recommend if you're a light sleeper

We visited Hotel Metropol twice in one week and had a wonderful experience both times. During our stay from 30th April to 1st May, the service was exceptional. We arrived early and were pleasantly surprised to find a spacious room ready for us. I have some food intolerances, and dining at the hotel’s restaurant made me feel both safe and cared for. A trainee staff member, who was working during lunch on 30th April and breakfast on 1st May, offered superb service and made the experience even more enjoyable. When we returned later in the week, although the room was smaller, we still thoroughly enjoyed our stay, as we were already familiar with the hotel and its warm atmosphere. The location was also ideal for us.

This is my favorite hotel in the city, not least because of its location, comfortable rooms, reliability, and budget-friendly price. Speaking of location location location - right across from the Palace of Culture and Science, walking distance from the main train station and major public transportation lines, and even walking distance to the city center. The staff are always super polite and helpful. The room was a good size, clean, comfortable, quiet, and the AC was efficient (so important in the summer!). The internet was fast. I would stay here again and again.

Hotel was very close to central station, there were many shops nearby. Staff was friendly and helpfull, we could leave our lugagge after check out. Room was nice and clean, comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious and with lot of space to sit, we never had to wait.

I would welcome a minifridge in the room. The AC was bit too much, sometimes it was really cold in the room/in the breakfast room. Maybe I would like a little bit more of a choice for breakfast - bigger cheese selection, some sweet pastry (for example cinnamon buns),but it was not that big of deal.

Everything was excellent! They changed our towels every day, the staff were extremely helpful and the location was perfect! The room was quite big for two people and it even included a small couch (in addition to the two beds) The location was great! Right next to the tram and metro station (tram gets you everywhere in Warsaw and we were in the Old town within 10-15 minutes). Warsaw Train Station was around in walking distance... it took us 8 minutes to get there while holding all our luggage.

There was a lot of noise outside because the location is very busy (all shopping centers are around there), but they provided earplugs .

The location is good, within less than 800m of walking distance. The room facilities except the bathroom are also good enough for a budge Traveller. Cleanness is not too bad though, but I still can find dusts and hair somewhere. The shower was the nightmare to me, when staying there for 3 nights. The water temperature kept shifting between hot and cold, too annoying! Last, breakfast was good. No fridge was equipped. Night noise was not bearable at all (tram railways, horns and engines from traffic, ambulances and police cars). If you do want a quality sleep, locations not too far from the central railway station but not on the main roads may be better.

Bathroom and shower were too annoying as the temperature was shifting between hot and cold. I don’t know outside noises from traffic and tram were constant or occasionally at the weekend(I stayed on Fri till Sun). I can’t have quietness until very early morning every night during the entire stay.

Convenient to downtown..shopping..museums...has a nice restaurant and the food was good..offers a happy hour with drink specials. Lots of people available for check in..easy to get in and out of shower ..u don't have to climb into a bathtub...

Lacking places to put stuff in the room..it needs additional shelves..unfortunately the air conditioner didn't work in my 1st room and there wasn't anyone around to fix it so they moved me to another room.. still never got cold enough..then in the morning maintenance came up and fixed the a/c so it worked

The location is excellent, with easy access to both buses and trains — very convenient. While some traffic noise was noticeable, the hotel provided earplugs, though we didn’t end up needing to use them. All the staff were wonderful, not just the front desk team but also the housekeepers. Although we didn’t have breakfast during this stay, we did a few days prior and had a fabulous experience.

The window advertisements. While I understand they might help reduce noise, I would have preferred to enjoy the view outside rather than having to look through the ads.
