The staff were very helpful and friendly. There are alot supermarkets, bars, restaurants, stores and churches nearby. The metro station is about 10 mins away. The reception area and the kitchen were always kept clean and organized. Also, you can take public buses accross from the hostel. The neighborhood was peaceful and safe. There was strong so you can work.

It seemed that bathrooms werent cleaned daily. This only became problem when the hostel was full. During these time trash can was full and some guess would start to throw paper on the floor. The shower and toilet should be cleaned more than once per day when the hostel is full. I am thankful that as many times as I bought it to the attention of the staff they help to clean up right away.

Arriving at 00:45 at night and not being able to enter, ringing 20 times, but no one that openend, and being alone in the streets of a city I didn't know as a young woman.

I absolutely recommend this hostel ✨ + fine dorm with big looker + good breakfast with a lot included (fruit salat, cake, toast, ham, cheese, scrambled eggs, butter and marmalade, coffee) + kitchen with everything you need + nice safe neighbourhood (be careful at night in São Paulo anyway)

Yeah its not in the center but I don’t see a problem there. The metro station is 650 meters from the place - The metro coast 5,2 R (under 1€) and is super cheap

The volunteers seemed to be there as a punishment. lol I think people who work at the reception with the clients should be a bit more lively and chatty and not like someone who just managed to find a place to crash “for free”. Beds could be a bit more comfortable and some reading lamps would not hurt.

The rooms and shared rooms are spacious and welcoming, I was lucky to be in the room with balcony from where you could watch the beautiful sunset. The bathrooms were big and clean, the staff always very and welcoming. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. The location is good, in a safe neighborhood and close to supermarkets and metro.

This hostel has been fantastic! I've been here for 9 weeks and plan to stay another 5 weeks. I came here with the intention of learning Portuguese and the staff and guests have offered me the interesting environment I was looking for. I've made several videos on my YouTube channel (@TheTMax) about why this place is so special. The kitchen is clean and equipped, which is a huge deal for me. The shared spaces are inviting and comfortable. There's never a line for the bathrooms, even when the hostel is full. The internet is super fast so I can get my work done. The staff are just phenomenal and helpful and have been an important part of why I continue to stay here.

The hostel is located on a main avenue, and the shared dorm faces the avenue, so at night you can hear the (sometimes aggressively loud) traffic while you try to sleep.

I like the area! It is not located in the center, but that means it's safer. I would recommend here to those who stay in São Paulo for more than a week which I did myself too. There are shops, gyms, a shopping mall, cafes, and restaurants around - all you need for a long stay is there. Metro and buses are very accessible too. The female dorm has only 2 beds, so it feels very private, quiet, and comfortable.

Nothing special. But only downside is it is quite far from GRU airport if you need to go there by Uber.

I had a great stay at Hostel Casa Azul. The hostel is very clean, tidy and spacious and the staff are so kind and friendly. It's located a little out of the centre but it in a very nice and safe neighbourhood that has easy access to the metro to go anywhere you want in the city. An excellent hostel for a great price I highly recommend it!

6-bed mixed dorm has a nice balcony, good fan, lots of air circulation at night. (No need for A/C.) Mirador is a pleasant, human scale neighborhood of Sao Paulo, working-middle class (not too ritzy, not too slummy; can get fancy things if you want them, cheap things if you need them--just my speed!). Lots of public transport.

The street can be a little noisy at night with the buses, trucks, and loud motorcycles (without proper mufflers!) but that may be just about everywhere in SP.
