Stylish clean hotel with parking a short walk from the centre of town. Friendly welcome. Our room was lovely, with a super comfortable bed & spacious bathroom. We were able to charge our EV - not powerful but fine for an overnight charge. It was hot when we arrived so it was great to use the pool for a couple of hours. Breakfast was delicious with a good selection. All in all a very positive experience. Thank you!

The only thing was that the coffee machine at breakfast dispensed pre sweetened milk in the coffee. I would have liked to choose. If I had spoken Portuguese it would have been easier 😊

A very pleasant, two night stay in this small boutique hotel. It has gated, private parking and is an easy 10 minute walk into the centre of Viseu. A good sized modern bedroom and ensuite bathroom. Breakfast is buffet style with a reasonable choice, both savoury and sweet, plus juices, tea and coffee. Staff were very pleasant. Altogether a great place to stay when visiting the area.

The balcony isn't one where you can sit out. It's really just a galleried ledge overlooking the road, so not worth bothering with when selecting a room.

Great little hotel. It's in a good location, within walking distance of anything in downtown Viseu, including a large park (Fontelo) nearby. The rooms are fairly simple, but comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast is good. The employees are wonderful. The building itself used to be the house of a famed local archaeologist, and it is a little bit like a museum. Each room is tribute to one of his noted discoveries. All in all, a very pleasant experience, and we will definitely stay here again.

I had a fantastic stay at this place! Everything exceeded my expectations—from the perfect location to the delicious breakfast with local products. The room was spotless, the facilities were excellent, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They had time to spend with us and this was fantastic! I also appreciated the convenient parking and the well-maintained 'casa da torre'. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I would definitely stay here again!

The renovation of the complex was tasteful. We really enjoyed the many memorials, photos and writings by José Coelho, an archaeologist. The location of Casa da Torre is in a very quiet location. The woman who was attending to the breakfast was extremely helpful in providing additional important historical information about Professor Coelho, his work, as well as his home.

We did not have a car and the location of the Casa da Torre was a bit out of town. One must balance the location with having a restful quiet stay and night of sleep.

Breakfast could be better - better selection of fresh fruit and cereal included rather than for an extra charge I would have preferred not to have to choose breakfast upon arrival and picking a time Pity the pool was not open for use

Everything. Staff, comfort, cleanliness, facilities, secure parking, Viseu! There was a coffee machine (hot water for tea too, although no black tea or milk). We ordered extra breakfast food (we were given a list to pick from) and had a very small extra charge for it. 9€ for both of us. This included soya yoghurt and omelette, cold meats, fruit, etc. And the lovely local cake which we took away with us in the bag provided. For people on motorbikes, in inclement weather like we had (rain!), there is under cover parking.. but just ask for the garage as the only issue we had was the girl who gave us the room key didn't offer this, I think due to limited English. The senior staff member who came in the morning was very apologetic and told hubby to move the bike to the garage. She was lovely and very knowledgeable about the area. She speaks French too, so I conversed with her better in French. Look for the historic buildings at the top of the town and just below them there's an old plaza where you will find restaurants. We found a menu del dia with a lovely atmosphere and very affordable. There's an Indian restaurant too!

Nothing. The language difference caused a few issues, but overall, we were spoiled! Thank you.

Possibly the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. The whole place is well presented, clean and of a high standard. Lovely building and rooms are spacious with large well equipped bathrooms. Staff go above and beyond and are so helpful. Great continental breakfast with cooked eggs included. Parking was ample. Walking distance to the town. Great theme (local archeology) to the whole building.

Unexpected lovely welcome from the owners! I can't promise you the same, but I was immediately offered fresh coffee, but the highlight was the sincere welcome. Fabulous varied fresh breakfast brought to me by the third member of the family! Thank you! The historic building once the home of an archaeologist has been restored to an exceptionally high standard and facilities Very quiet but located just a couple of minutes from the town. On Google Maps, it appears way out. But its not! Large spacious room. Bizarrely Google Maps totally omits the huge beautiful River Piava,which has a river path, but you will need a proper map to find it, or the Viseu tourist leaflet

That was great opportunity to have a nice and calm journey to Viseu, located right in the beginning of the hilly part of the city you can enjoy the town and then come back to your quiet spot and just relax.

Everything was good, yet I think the place is a combination of a hotel and sightseeing spot, so that can cause meeting people who came to see the place not to hotel
