I loved the entrance and the chick area around the reception. It gives a homely and relaxed feel. The second floor is charmingly decorated either lanterns and had these wooden windows which gave a super nice ambiance. The staff was super friendly and helpful and arranged dumpling nights we attended - which a really nice way to say hi to the other guests. They provided this and other activities for free- which is really generous of them. The rooms are simple, the showers and toilets are clean and proper. The location was great and nearby shops provides you with all you need.

Helena, a lady working at the front desk is simply outstanding. Her answers to all questions regarding sights to see, trains, Metro, busses, taxis entrance bookiongs to museums etc were instant and correct. She is a walking directory of train, museums, important sights, temples etc. She went out of her way to help. She did bookings for me, a very difficult thing to do for some sights for a tourist as not all the booking pages are easy to navigate, even if you do speak Chinese and can read it fluently. She made my stay so efficient i was able to see everything i wanted plus several other excellent sights i had not known about.

Just the location is not the best but that is reflected in the realistic price for a nights stay.

The location was good, near to lots of restaurants, the river, and some attractions. The staff are nice and helpful and the rooms have windows and A/C which is great. The room was good and the bathrooms are kept clean.

There were a lot of mosquitos in the room even though the window has a bug screen. There might be holes or something because we always got many bites throughout the night. It is also very loud but that is typical for a hostel.

Helena speaks English and is very kind. You can apply for tours to Jiuzhaigou and Tibet. However, I can only understand a little English, but she explained things to me many times until I understood. This is the first time I've ever met a hostel staff member who has done this for me. She explained things to other guests really carefully, even outside of working hours, without any unpleasant expressions. You can contact her on Wechat. Her replies are quick and accurate. I was limited in time, so I decided on a tour before arriving at the hostel and was able to go on the tour the next day. During the tour, she was worried about me and sent me messages, and she always cared about me, so I felt very safe during the tour. The other staff at the hostel are also smiling, calm and nice. There are many toilets where you can hang out your laundry. It's clean and cheap. There is a convenience store nearby. It's a great hostel. I recommend this hostel! I love Helena! Thank you so much.

The lobby had a good vibe and was friendly. The staff was super helpful and helped facilitate social occasions to meet other travelers. They even helped facilitate a vegetarian option for the dumpling making party! The shared room was fine, the bed was comfortable and there was space for my belongings in a shelf on the bunk and in a locker in the room. The showers were clean and so were the showers.

Very friedly nice enviorment- Helena (the girl who works at reception) and the other guy were really nice with me I felt like home. They let me use the kitchen to Cook and also they gave me info on how to move around the city.. they both speak english.. They also organize dinners together (when I was there I was invited at Dumpligs home-made dinner) and I had a great time ! Thank you ! Good quality/price- the area around has many restaurants and supermarkets.

They dont provide breakfast (not even coffee or tea) and also we need to pay to wash our clothes. I dont like that. They should care more about cleaness (expecially the kitchen and rooms floors - corners and under the bed with dust).

About 15 mins walk from the nearest metro. Closer to the wushu monastery. English speaking staff are available. Value for money. Near to Wanda Plaza and their is food street nearby.

The notice that valuables to be kept in the reception instead of the locker made me paranoid. Hence, I followed their notice. Better be safe than sorry. I think the water in the toilet at times is not too fast or strong when flushing.

I had such a wonderful stay. If you're open minded and willing to meet local people, it's such a great place to make local friends who are working/studying in Chengdu and some speak English and want to practice! I was able to make friends and eat Hot pot with them. The main floor is clean and an old man, maybe the owner, cleans every morning. There's always water available. The location is great!

Just wish there were more showers since there are many people sharing the 2 showers on the 2nd floor.

I had a really great time staying at mix hostel! The staff are very nice and helpful, I booked a few tours with them and had a great fun. Place is decorated quite nicely, and is very clean.

The location is a bit far away from tourist attractions, but in a really nice relaxed area close to the temple. Also, the mattress is a bit too hard for my taste
