Great location, good parking and friendly staff.

On Booking.com's website, the hotel say that no advance payment is required and that payment can be made at the property upon check-in. However, a few hours after I made my reservation, my credit card was charged the full amount of my stay plus a $75 security deposit. This was never mentioned on the website or when I made the reservation. The security deposit was returned a few days after check-out. I think the website and the hotel should be more clear about these types of charges to avoid surprises.

We were a little nervous after we read some of the reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised. They up graded us to a room with a balcony. The room was very clean,comfortable king bed and very friendly staff. The breakfast was a little to be desired although they were in the middle of a kitchen remodel and they were also short staffed. I don’t know how you could give them a bad review.

The kitchen was under construction and there was no indication on the hotel or restaurant websites that the restaurant was closed. Showed great pictures of breakfast menu, so very disappointed that wasn’t the case.

Staff was attentive and friendly. The room was clean and ready with all the expected amenities. The tub and shower were a nice size and the water was perfectly hot with good pressure. We only ate breakfast at the hotel one day during our stay and it was perfect. The riverside view was beautiful and the staff made sure we were well taken care of.

It was snowing during our stay and the sideways were a little slick/icy going out to the parking lot but we just walked very carefully. It would of been nice to have extra blankets in the room since it was so cold out. To be fair, we probably could of requested them from the front desk but didn't since we were so tired when we got back to our room late in the evening.

Location was fantastic, enjoyed the private beach and swimming area. Even though it was chillier than ideal outside, we still enjoyed as much of the beautiful outdoors as we could :) loved that we could bring our doggo with us, it gave a different peace of mind!!! They don't offer in-house boarding or doggy day care, but we used a place near by: CDA Pet Resort. If you have dogs, this was the best doggy day care we could have asked for!

The bar staff in house were not kind or approachable with questions or orders. Ordered a cookie dessert to-go, and they acted as if I had ordered a full pizza. If it is an inconvenience, don't offer it !

Location was good and plenty of decent restaurants only a short drive away. Family and Pet friendly - there’s a lot of both at this hotel every time we stay here.

Getting a little ‘old / worn’ in the rooms. Lobby and restaurant have been updated but the room needs some love. Faucets / shower have seen better days. Bed was comfortable but starting to sag.

They have recently updated the front seating and the check-in area. It looks great!

I recently have had major knee and back surgeries. I noticed the bathtub was extra high to step into and there weren’t any safety grab bars. The toilet in the hotel room and the main bathroom by the restaurant both had exceptionally low toilets. I had difficulty using them and usually I don’t experience this issue at most public places.

Hands down nicest Red Lion I have ever seen. Such a great location I am bummed we didn't get into town earlier to enjoy the river front view from the deck during the daytime. Definitely get a room overlooking the river. The ambience is really nice. Great large parking lot that is private. Would 100% stay here again.

The pool in the rooms need a little bit of upgrading… But you can tell they’re making a huge effort with their lobby bar restaurant area. It’s such a beautiful location. There’s so much potential here. All in all, though a great day and everyone here is wonderful.

The flooring and carpet in the rooms aren’t very nice. I had a wobbly floorboard under the carpet in the room I stayed in. Don’t know the last time the carpets have been steam cleaned or changed… look like they’ve been here forever, the furniture is a little outdated too, but a comfortable bed clean bathroom. The pool needs some love and updating as well. The gym was OK. I don’t really use a gym other than to get some walking in on a treadmill. But I do love to swim and the room that the pool in is very outdated. It could be so much nicer. But otherwise everything was great.

We love this hotel for its location on the river, for the silence and fresh air and for the delicious brewery nearby.

Unfortunately, during our last visits, the coffee machine in the lobby did not return to work, only coffee in a thermos and its quality is not very good. We are waiting and hoping that the hotel will be able to return the previously familiar service with a working coffee machine

Everything. The staff was amazing . The views were beautiful. It was raining so we didnt get to walk the river. Super clean, bed was comfortable and shower waa great. Definately stay here again.

The restaurant being closed for dinner monday and tuesday evening so we didnt get to eat here
