I really like this old hotel, there have been some nice changes made since my last visit. The room furniture maybe be missed matched but that adds to the charm.

The chair in the room had some decent stains on it. So that should really be cleaned up or replaced. Left the chair in the closet, didn’t want to look at it but it also was not needed. A breakfast of sorts was offered for free, muffins pastry oranges apples yogurt coffee tea orange and apple juice. But this isn’t replenished. Have to go down early for the best selection.

Location was perfect - Downtown Saskatoon close to restaurants and shopping. The Senator is older (110years) but really well kept. It has a comfortable feel. Rich wood panelling and elaborate decorations; wide connecting hallways and upgraded rooms that retain their charm. The rooms are relatively quiet and generally unaffected by the old English Pub on the ground floor.

Hotel parking is at a premium. Around back and first come first served. There is parking out front but it is limited to a maximum of three hours Monday through Saturday. We found it easier to park in pay as you go lots that were close to the Hotel.

Room was nice and clean, the hotel has an antique look on inside kept in shape, could of had a better selection for breakfast. There is very little and tight parking, the good thing is, your in an area where you can just park the car and walk to all restaurants, mall, river, some clubs etc..

Little parking .........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

Very European. Old and beautiful. Comfy beds, spotless rooms. The pub downstairs (Winston’s) is excellent. Convenient downtown location. Great security too.

A few things could stand to be upgraded but hard to complain as everything worked and was so clean. **Note: if you have a room above the pub you will hear the bass. I asked to be moved and the gentleman at the front desk very graciously gave me a different room with no fuss. So either bring earplugs or request a room away from the pub.

I loved this place. Full of atmosphere, neat features , quaint comfort and memories of a past era. Staff professional, natural and down to earth. Security is good. Clean and warm. Close to the river and the historical area. Only ate at Winstons and the food was very good.

There was nothing I didn't like. Given it's age and history the Hotel Senator is well worth a stay.

Good rates for my stay, which was over five nights. The staff were polite, friendly & very helpful. My room was just what I needed & the bed was very comfortable. It definitely had style with Winston's the English pub attached to it. I will definitely recommend Hotel Senator & look forward to my next visit. 😊❤️

Nothing, I was happy with my stay.

After so many anonymous places, it is a joy to find a place with so much character! We especially enjoyed the wide corridors, the huge room with its high ceiling and its big windows overlooking the street, the overall decoration. It is ideally located in the middle of downtown, and we were able to walk to the Remai Modern Museum, to restaurants (even though the hotel offers a choice of two restaurants!) and to the Fringe Festival. The staff was pleasant and informative, and, even though we did not expect it, a simple continental breakfast was served in a charming octagonal room.

While we visited on Holiday days, we were lucky to have free parking on the street, the hotel parking at the back being a bit cramped

Staff were amazing. They were very friendly, courteous and accommodating, including pet friendly. They even answered our questions about the beautiful historical building and gave us a tour. The hotel building, rooms and decor were amazing. Like travelling back in time or visiting somewhere in old Europe. Its not just the architecture - the attention to detail in how all the furniture and art work was set up was clearly evident. I found the interior more impressive than say the much larger, pricier Delta Marriott down the street. There is also a very nice patio, breakfast room and restaurants directly accessible from the hotel downstairs.

Limited food options in the area later in the evening once the pub and restaurant close. Also you probably should be careful about what you leave in your car, though we had no problems.

Location (if you like to be in the heart of everything ) comfortable. It isn’t new but that is the charm of it. Has a medieval feel to it. Super homey tho. Nice bar and restaurant inside and as well another fancier steak house. I like it better than the steak at chop. I stay here every time I stay in the city now. Used to stay in the north end near all the hotels that way but I really like this place better. May not be as new and fancy but I feel more comfortable in this place.

Some bathrooms in the rooms are dated. Some are updated. It depends on the room you get. Can be loud and isn’t much parking.
