The staff at the property are beyond exceptional. There was not one employee that didn’t say hello and/or ask us how our stay was. Their kindness and hospitality was honestly my favourite part of our stay.

I didn’t like where our room was situated. We were placed in the front block of units, where we could hear everything - the rooster, the cars, the honking. I would have asked for another room, however we didn’t stay that long and we are easy going so we just let it go. I would recommend requesting a room behind the lobby and restaurant area, closer to the pool.

Walking into Pilgrimage Village Boutique Resort & Spa is like walking into another world.  It is a beautiful, lush, tranquil environment -- a stark contrast with the surrounding environs. We were immediately greeted with food and drink and seated in a lovely, open air reception area.   After being introduced to key members of their staff, Thanh, Cristy, and Claudia, we were given a map of the complex (locating important amenities) and then guided to our room.  We had a spacious, well appointed bedroom with the largest hotel bathroom we've ever experienced. There was also a private, furnished balcony with a view of tropical plantings and winding paths. We were delighted with our accommodations and told to be sure to visit the bar for our free drink and snack during happy hour. Unbeknownst to us, a free drink and 3 tiered serving of hors d'oerves and desserts for 2 were included in the price of our room every evening!  Also worth mentioning are the incredible breakfasts, delicious food at the restaurant, 2 picture perfect swimming pools (one that is heated), a spa, lounge, and picturesque outdoor seating areas. And the highlight of this "shangri -la" is the staff.  Everyone is friendly and smiles.  You will learn to say "xin chao" as the many staff members greet you.  A special shout out and "thank you" to Thanh, Cristy and Claudia who greeted us at breakfast and evening to make sure we were happy.  We spent our days touring the Emperors' Mausoleums, Museums and the Imperial Palace and were thrilled to retreat to the calm beauty and excellent atmosphere of the Pilgrimage in the evenings.  I give it 10 stars!

We really enjoyed the varied and tasty breakfast, along with the attentive service. Claudia took great care of us and made us feel truly looked after. The rooms were spacious—though one of them did have a bit of a humidity smell. The pool was large and inviting, and we also treated ourselves to the spa, which was lovely. The city itself was easy to reach, either by Grab or via the hotel’s shuttle. In Hue, we enjoyed visiting the Imperial City (we opted for a buggy inside due to the heat and humidity) and the Royal Tombs—though in hindsight, one tomb would have been enough. The Perfume River, however, was very dirty, and the dragon boat ride wasn’t worth it for us—we wouldn’t do it again. One thing we really noticed is how much Vietnam has changed; wherever you go, it seems you’re a target for scams. In Hue, we experienced it even more often than in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City

The grounds were absolutely stunning and kept in immaculate condition. It felt like an oasis! They even used eco-friendly mosquito mist several times a week to ensure the resort had fewer mosquitoes! The swimming pools are gorgeous, particularly the Slope pool with the swim up bar. They provide a welcome and refreshing break from the heat! The breakfast was phenomenal - there is SO much choice! Freshly made eggs your way, Vietnamese cuisine, fresh fruit, bread and pastries - even different ones each day! The location is great - you can’t walk into Hue city but they have a free shuttle bus and you can order a Grab taxi that will arrive in minutes. The staff are what make this resort - they are so kind and nothing is too much to ask. We are a young couple who love visiting new places so don’t like to go to the same place twice but we will certainly be returning here. Thank you so much to the whole team for making our first few days in Vietnam so memorable and relaxing.

An exceptional stay at a beautiful property. The grounds are very peaceful, the room enormous and very clean with a comfortable bed. Pool areas brilliant, we particularly loved the serenity of the smaller pool for guests staying in the bungalows or villas. We had spa vouchers included in our stay and the massages were wonderful. The staff go out of their way to ensure you have everything you need, and are so friendly and lovely. Communication was top notch, Thanh and her team ensured we were always taken care of. Breakfast also exceptional, the fruit was so sweet and rotating options over the course of our four nights. We would absolutely return

This is a really nice resort with some fabulous rooms and villas. The main blocks - which seem to be used mostly for people on coach tours and organised groups - look pretty standard but functional. We stayed in a honeymoon villa with plunge pool which was really nice. Breakfast here I would say was the best of our whole month in Vietnam - really superb with amazing choice. There is a shuttle bus into town but we tended to use taxis as they are so cheap and convenient.

The weather wasn't great during our stay (which is nothing to do with the hotel) but I feel that the swimming pools should be heated regardless of whether it's summer or winter and based on the actual weather

We loved our stay so much, and were very sad to leave! The staff made the experience perfect, any issue at all they sorted immediately. They made a WhatsApp group with us in and that was great for communicating quickly without having to go to the lobby. They organised two tours for us, one of Hue and a DMZ tour. Both were incredible with brilliant tour guides. The spa and treatments were all amazing and we loved the pool and its bar! Breakfast also was varied and tasty. Our driver for the tours and airport transfer was also very kind and nice. Thank you so much to all the lovely staff, we will be back :-)

Nothing :-) Everything was perfect.

We were upgraded several room types up into a really nice suite, bed was comfortable, bathroom had a bathtub, indoor shower and outdoor shower, toiletries were provided for and the black shampoo smelt like Trolli Gummy Bears. Breakfast buffet was really good with so many options, coffees and juices were freshly prepared, lots of options of fruits, Vietnamese food options were also there in addition to Western options. The Junrei Restaurant which we ate at for dinner was also very good with lots of options and reasonably priced. Lots of pools to choose from but my favourite was the slope pool. Pool was large, surrounding area was clean and well maintained and had plants which complemented the vibe and the availability of an in pool bar was really good. Massage was really both times. Had options for fragrances/oils which were to be used in the massage. Masseuse always asked whether the pressure was ok which was really good customer service. Claudia and Thanh who I liaised with, responded very promptly such as when making massage appointments etc. All the staff we dealt with here were friendly and professional. The resort overall is clean, well maintained, luxurious and still very well priced.

Everything was good. If i we're to nitpick, it would've been better if the bed had bigger pillows. 1 firm pillow for lying down on and a softer pillow for hugging but this is quite minor.

Superb stay. The grounds are beautiful and our accommodation which they kindly upgraded us to was fantastic. The staff especially Christy, Thanh and kanh were so lovely and helpful and their communication was first class. We both had several massages in the spa which were complimentary and were of exceptional quality. The restaurant and bar were also fabulous and great value. Overall a fantastic stay and we were so sorry to have to leave. Every member of staff went out of their way to make our stay so special

We had an amazing stay at Pilgrimage Village! The staff were the friendliest and most attentive we’ve experienced. They checked in on us regularly, communicated so well, and seemed to know what we needed before we even asked. We stayed in the pool bungalow and it by exceeded our expectations. Everything was comfortable, clean and quiet. Even though the place was 90% full we always felt like we had enough space and privacy. The breakfast, served by a lovely pond full of koi fish, was a perfect start to the day. The dinner menu was excellent, offering a great mix of local Vietnamese dishes and Western options - including vegetarian too. Highly recommend the Vietnamese ones—they were absolutely delicious. The yoga and spa was also fantastic. The massage was one of the best we’ve ever had. The only thing we could suggest is for the sauna to be a little hotter, but that’s a very minor issue. The gym is well equipmed with enough weights and machines. A big thank you to Thanh, Claudia, and Cristy, the wonderful relationship managers who made our stay so special. They went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect and the hotel is lucky to have them. We will miss them! If you’re traveling in Vietnam and need a peaceful break between busier cities like Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh, we can’t recommend Pilgrimage Village enough. It’s a 10/10 experience, totally unique and we’d recommend it to everyone!
