Where to begin! This place is magical. The staff treat you like family and it's more like staying at a family home than a hotel. The pool was so refreshing. The food was so delicious and authentic. This is more than a family owned businesses, you can tell they pour their heart and soul into it. There are also lots of free roaming animals, alpaca, sheep, geese, chickens, birds,rabbits cats and dogs. Also saw behind the fences ostrich and peacocks. Highly recommend a stay here. Bed was comfortable and all the amenities you need.

From arriving at the gate To leaving next day Florentina and her Husband made us feel at home , warm helpful and the Surroundings are idyllic for some one like me who loves domestic and non domestic animals the place if full of rescued animals that enjoy a wonderful life roaming the extensive grounds The Alpacas area joy to watch and so friendly, The pool was a great place to unwind after our long drive , and the views are to die for a shame i was only there for a day i could have stayed for weeks

Everything! What a wonderful place. Florentina is the perfect host. She exudes love for nature and her amazing menagerie of animals, including playful alpacas, ostriches, rabbits, sheep and various others. Our room was comfortable with a view of the mountains. And possibly the highlight of our stay was dinner prepared by Florentina’s husband. Perfect. Breakfast was also a treat. Highly recommend La Castellaia Resort.

This was one of the highlights of our 4 week trip. A lovely and very friendly couple with an incredible sense of hospitality. We felt very pampered and loved the location, the beautiful pool and the lovely atmosphere. The breakfast and dinner meals were all so good. We loved visiting with Florantina and give her an excellent recommendation.

Florentina and her husband were so welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable of the area’s attractions and made us feel like family. The accommodation is very clean, attractive, comfortable with fabulous views.
