We had 11 hours' wait at the airport and decided to book a hotel. Airport Transit Lodges seemed a good option at a very affordable price and free transfer. It's not a luxury place but a perfect one to use in between flights. The rooms are clean, air conditioning works fine, and there is free Wi-Fi. You can also order some food and drinks which we did. Prices are OK, food is decent. Our room was facing the main road and was a bit noisy, so it can be a bit difficult to have a nap, but overall, we were happy with our short stay. Staff is very friendly and polite and the free transfer is definitely a bonus.

As a solo female traveler, I was very happy to have someone waiting for me at the airport at 2AM to drive me to the hotel. The driver was very nice, the other people working there were also all polite. I had a very short stay because of an early flight the next morning, but I had a good few hours of sleep in a bed which I found very comfortable. The breakfast was a good start of another travel day, it was freshly prepared with eggs to my liking. As soon as I was ready to leave for the airport, the driver was informed and I was on my way again. All in all a very pleasant transit experience.

- Very good location.. We arrived in the afternoon and flew out the next morning. Being less than 10 minutes from the airport was perfect for us. - Clean and comfortable room. - Staff were great, particularly the guy at reception. - We ate in the night we stayed there. The food was really good, exceeded expectations. - They made sure breakfast was available for our early departure. - Shuttle service is a definite plus.

- We didn't connect with the shuttle driver on arrival. Couldn't see our name or the lodge name held by anyone when we exited the arrival hall. - Apart from that it was all good.

I always choose this property when arriving or departing from Dar, as it's very safe and convenient near the airport. The staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The shuttle is always reliable, regardless how late or early to/from the airport. The driver is wonderful; I look forward to his smiling greeting. The rooms are cozy - not luxurious - and clean, with ceiling fan, A/C, desk, telephone and TV. When I've had breakfast, it was carefully prepared and filling. I've recommended this property to colleagues who aren't planning a lengthy stay in Dar - or who are seeking a consistently good, value-priced hotel, and don't need a lot of extra amenities.

Nothing that the hotel can change - the road construction around the airport never seems to end. Therefore, the approach to the hotel is torn up and unattractive. Don't let this discourage you. Once you're inside the gates, the hotel is welcoming and uncomplicated.

The shuttle we had arranged for 8 was on time and as we needed 2 vehicles, the drivers were super efficient and friendly. The reception we received from the manager was nothing short of exceptional. He was so friendly, nothing was a problem for him. The breakfast was more than adequate.

The air conditioner, we believe, needs an overhaul. It wasn’t very effective in the hot humid room. The ceiling fan was of more use. Ask about the hot water switch as you check in. Otherwise, you might be in for a cold shower.

it was great to be met at the airport by out shuttle driver who was very helpful and respectful. At check in we received a very warm welcome and our bags were carried to our room. the room was spacious, in excellent condition, , very clean, and had everything we needed including wifi , air-conditioning and a fan. the bathroom was excellent. the building was gated and had security which is important in Dar. our complimentary shuttle in the early morning back to the airport was on time and very comfortable. this is a very good, safe, friendly, value for money airport stopover place.

there was quite alot of street noise and the plans flying over but a good pair of earplugs solved this problem.

Easy access to airport with free shuttle, great value, comfortable beds and AC/fan cooling, good breakfast, excellent staff support.

A bit noisy due to airport proximity and early morning prayer call very close to our room. My daughter slept through it, but it was enough to keep me awake for short periods. Still got adequate sleep, and convenience of airport proximity made up for it -- especially avoiding Dar's legendary traffic jams

Air shuttle is the best in Dar. Coming for 20 years on time every time. Clean, cool, comfortable rooms. Front desk Marbella, though new, continues very good customer service. We have multiple groups come to Tanzania and Air port transit is the most dependable and cleanest. When you consider the cost , location, and service excellent value--you can depend on them.

All was good. No real issues. Only complaint has been the loud worship centers near by.

You get what you need. A hotel right near the airport which offers pick up and drop off. Very convenient for resting between long transits. No elevator so a bit struggle if you have many bags. Staff very friendly and welcoming. We had dinner and it was really good (local menu). Price very good for the amount of food served. We skipped breakfast because of our very early flight. AC worked great in the room.

Mosquitos, a lot of them in our room. No 'real' lock in the bedroom windows - we were on first floor and it looked like someone was using the area outside for water buckets. Also on first floor can get a bit loud with other people checking in or out.

If you're looking for the perfect transit hotel from the airport THIS IS THE ONE! the hotel is literally 5min drive away, the staff is 10/10 the rooms were spotlessly clean and the bed was probably the MOST comfortable bed I've ever slept in. So do yourself a favour and book this place. Another big bonus is that they offer free airport shuttle, they stand right outside arrivals with your name.
