Location was good. Nice view from room. Kitchen fixtures and appliances were a little dated, but completely functional.

Bathroom sink only put out hot water. Wish there were chairs in the balcony.

We alwawwwwways love this place!! And this time of year!! Usually a few hundred dollars cheaper cause it’s usually cold and not many people!! Although itt was relatively warm which meant lots more people!! Love the view!

The bed was broken! Was going to turn it but it was also broken on the other side as well !! Time for a new box spring!! And the first few nights the ac was leaving a big puddle on the balcony! I saw that someone had stepped on the hose and crimped it shut which I fixed and the problem disappeared!! We love the balcony’s and view !! We usually go three to four times a year!! First time we used booking .

I like the view of the ocean and just like the nature of the beach and trees and how there some buildings you can still see, I also liked how where me and my girlfriend were staying at we could see fireworks happening and also see the carnival.

There wasn’t really anything we hated but I think the only thing we were really disappointed with was maybe the tv and the remote weren’t really working properly we weren’t sure what the problem was but we figured it out and just started watching like cartoon shows which we enjoyed.

This was my first time in SPI. We stayed on the south part of the hotel (standard queen). Staff was nice and helpful.I love everything about this location, perfect access to the beach, the small kitchen was save, and there was plenty of room for my 3 teens!! There was an elevator for use of access to bring all our luggage 🧳 and groceries. I over packed for this trip thinking I was going to have to bring extra utensils, chairs, canopy, and ice chest. We ended up just using our bagged cooler for water bottles. When the boys got hungry we just had to walk right back to our hotel for a quick snack and food and walk back out to the beach access. Out on the beach there were umbrellas and chairs for the public to use. Hot tub and swimming were clean. There was a pool table for a challenge. Restaurants and entertainment we're in walking distance, I didn't even get sent on my truck from driving! I am definitely coming back here and making Padre South Hotel my #1 🏆 stay!!

My only complaint was the weather, I wish it wasn't chilly, but no complaints for our stay.

Great location - right on the beach! Wonderful yet reasonably priced restaurant right next door. Friendly staff. All of the main floor is gathering space for guests, including a large TV. Good breakfast on weekend mornings. Many snowbirds stay here for a month or more, so clearly this hotel is doing a lot of things well. The large hot tub was wonderful when it was working. Other hot tub and pool were too cold for anyone to use.

The water doesn’t taste good but they have a water cooler on first floor for guests. Some rooms have been remodeled, but not the one we were in. Heat couldn’t keep up too well during a winter storm but staff worked at sealing it up better so then we were fine.

I definitely love the location of you the cleanliness, the friendly staff, the helpful staff and did I say I loved my view

I wish I was a little bit more modern the countertops the mirror in my room is all scratched up. The restroom is very small. The shower needs to be remodeled. It’s still in the 80s. I love the hotel. The lobby is beautiful. My bed was clean. the floor is clean. I love how it has the amenities the stove two sinks refrigerator TV comfortable slept comfortable.

The north side view from the top floor was amazing, both at night to see the island lite up and the morning sunrise view of the beach without getting direct sun in your face.

It is an older hotel, but it feels more like a condo. Elevator was bit wonky, but it works well. We were told to let the hot water run for 5 minutes, for it to come out. Never really got hot, but it wasn't cold either. Kitchen area is dated and old, but useable.

We liked the view of the water from our 8th floor North side room. No obstructions to look way up the beach! The balcony is large enough to have 2 chairs on it. The room was clean, the shower was hot, the TV worked, the elevator was close by, the other visitors were very friendly, and the parking was very close to the building. The room has a stove, refrigerator, sink, cabinets with dishes, silverware and cooking pans. We did not walk to the beach, but did see a sandy path. Looked like a nice pool too. Front desk people were very friendly. They have a Continental breakfast on the weekends! Great value!

Loved the beach access, and little kitchen in the room! Very cute and comfortable.

The restroom and shower were very small. And sadly the breakfast offered was awful. Frozen food and store bought pastries still in their packaging.

Beachfront, family friendly, proximity to other local spots was really good, overall price allowed my family to have separate rooms but everyone at same place.

Musty smell, water leaks everywhere due to storm. Updating needed in halls, rooms and mattresses but for the price all my family had rooms.
