There was an amazing employee by the name of "Andy" who went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and pleasant. The other male employees were also very pleasant and accommodating. I love the location and the balcony view of the sunsets.

Unfortunately every female employee that covered the front desk was very rude and unfriendly. I asked one female employee one day if housekeeping could bring me clean towels and she replied "we don't have any housekeeping today"! Never offered to get me fresh towels, never made eye contact and never even acknowledged my presence when I came in or out of the establishment. Also, they advertise free breakfast and they only provide coffee and toast. The hot tub was never "hot" only lukewarm.

Beds were comfortable, nice sheets, pillows. The room was clean and spacious. The pool was clean. View was nice of the intercoastal. The room had a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker.

The hot tub was just warm. Would have liked more jets to work. Balcony sliding door lock was broken, but it did have a latch lock. The room was on the 3rd floor. Breakfast was just bread with toppings available (peanut butter, butter, jam, etc). Room had frig and microwave. To me, the lobby coffee was bad, but there was a coffee maker in the room.

I liked the location, but iT was under construction. It was a quick walk to mc donalds . Which was great because continental breakfast was sad. A quick walk to stores . Friendly staff Stephanie was super helpful allowed us to check in early.

Disappointed with continental breakfast. It was a slice of bread and yesterday fresh coffee.. they could have had cereal, or a bran muffin, may be fruit coffee milk or juice . I mean I understand budget and most don't get breakfast but coffee was old and cold booking upgraded my room to breakfast and wasn't much of a breakfast.. very disappointed

I loved the property it isn’t the first time I stay n I always get a balcony room .. besides it needing a touch up/ update in a couple of things the stay was over all pleasant.. I love the view and the environment and the point that no one others you. The afternoon front desk guy cuz he was a male was really nice and polite I was having a bad day and his words made me change my attitude and had a better day.

I didn’t like their breakfast, before they had waffles and a good breakfast now it’s a simple cereal n juice type of breakfast. Also the night front desk lady was a bit in a mood so she was a bit rude maybe she was tired but I asked her a question around 11 pm and didn’t like her attitude so I didn’t ask her anything again.

I liked that the staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. I have a feeling they read the previous reviews and wanted correct previous issues such as warning me about the towing and to make sure to put the paper on my dashboard of my car. They also stated that all they had for breakfast was toast, spread, and coffee. Which doesn't bother me, I'm not picky, nor did I wake up early enough to have it. The place is old so it was a bit dirty and had a few bugs but it wasn't terrible. Just needs to be fixed and refurbished. Was great location and the bed was comfortable.

It did had a few bugs but that's because the place is old. Would be good to check and make sure lights are working. 2 light bulbs were burnt out.

The great airconditioner and the size of the room and restroom. It was very clean and our balcony was really nice. We could see the whole ocean and swimming pool. I also liked the fact there's a cool store next to it that we could guide ourselves when getting a parking lot.

The elevators were kind of scary because you couldn't tell if it was moving. The swimming pool was very small and hiding. I think it should be more attractive and inviting to go swim.

The room. The breakfast could of been better than just cereals and milk.

The booking app had a glitch and book me the wrong date. And wouldn't let me change it. I tried for about 3 hours. Back and forth talking to booking, the hotel manager. And they said it was the booking staff that would not give me the cancelation or fix my correct dates.

We've stayed at Blue Bay on several occasions. Usually the 2 bedroom with balcony. Decided to try a King room, which was a decent room but there wasn't much of a view. The desk receptionist was very understanding when ask if we could change to a room with a balcony. She accommodated us with no delay. Will always be our go to place to stay when we visit South Padre

No cups in room for the coffee, but they had some down near the vending machine

I loved the location, It is right in the middle of the island. The balcony was great for watching the tides and birds. The beds were comfortable and clean. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The room stayed nice and cold.

The balcony handle was broken alittle. It didn't affect anything but I was afraid of breaking it more. The pool was super busy all the time. Not the inns fault.

Closeness to water, restaurants, balcony that overlooks the bay and bridge! Nice staff! Great Whale walk through at front of discount store right next to it! Almost everything is 50% off! Even Space X shirts and sweatshirts! Great private parking lot!

We always avoid the Spring Break time in mid March!
