There are a lot of things to like about this motel. This is a very nice, down to earth vacation location that provides the convenience and comfort necessary to enjoy Amelia Island. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We had a room with a fridge and microwave which gave us an opportunity to enjoy local restaurants and reheat our leftovers. The hotel has direct beach access. The rooms were clean and some little things were noticeable - slip proof showers, abundant towels, clean rooms - despite being a beach location.

Package pastries for breakfast. Hand/shower soap that didn't last very long.

Great pool on property. Path to beach easy to walk due to sand mat covering path. Beautiful white sandy beach. Room was very clean and adequate size for us. Bathroom small but again fine for us. Coffee available every morning in check-in area. Across the street from property is a restaurant. Definitely a plus!

Led lights would have improved the lighting. We would have liked a microwave. Smoking is allowed outside each room door. Not a problem during the day but at night when in the unit, we could smell smoke from inside our room. Would have liked a smoking area away from unit door.

Nice, old style motel, right on the beach! Check in was easy and the clerk was super nice. The room was clean, fairly quiet, except for some noisy neighbors, and comfortable. Good selection of TV channels, although we watched very little TV, and a decent restaurant just across the road.

The whole complex is definitely showing its age, although it has been kept up well over the years. If you're looking for things to do, you'll have to drive a bit to everything. There are refrigerators in the rooms, but a microwave would be nice.

This is an old school motel style, built in the 1970's but very nicely renovated with new carpet, wallpaper/paint, furniture, tub/shower/faucets, efficiency kitchen. Very nostalgic for us older folks. Motel and pool are right on the beach - super location. I didn't see any other property with closer access. Parking is right outside your room. Very convenient to restaurants, parks, historic center. There is a restaurant right across street you can walk to. Very comfy bed and nice bath towels. The kitchen had its own sink, microwave, mini fridge with freezer, and was well stocked with a set of dishes for four, paper towels, dish soap, dish towels, etc. The kitchen had a coffee maker with coffee, but honestly, the free coffee served in the office was so good that I never made my own. Pool was clean, plenty of lounge chairs, and had both deep and shallow end. All rooms have two chairs outside the door with a little table. It wasn't fancy, but met all my needs. I liked how small it was, as I didn't have a hike to get to any part of property. Only about 40 rooms. Staff was pleasant and accommodating. Thanks for a great stay - I will be back!

The only thing I could complain about was that the pillows/pillow cases smelled of mildew. I am sure they were clean; its a tough problem to solve in a very humid environment. Maybe wash in bleach or similar disinfectant?

Friendly staff, quaint little motel right on the beach, pool was nice and refreshing after a hot day on the beach. Beds were super comfy, rooms were exceptionally clean and spotless. Quiet, never heard the neighbors who were vacationing with kids. Complimentary coffee and sweet snacks in the office.

Parking was a little chaotic in the evenings, since we can only have one vehicle per room, assigned parking might be recommended, whatever has been working for you.

The staff was professional and friendly. The rooms were clean and we really enjoyed our stay here. The pool was nice, and you could hear the ocean waves from there.The beach was a short walk across a walkway from the hotel, and there was a great restaurant right across the road. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

We could only stay a week! Wish we could have been there longer.

Definitely a hidden gem and beach front. I liked it was close enough to the historical district but not in the middle of all the hussel bussel. Complimentary beach towel for beach or pool. Walking distance to a few eating spots and chairs outside of pool area to just enjoy the beach/day.

Room 23/ The beds are a bit dated gard to get comfortable with a few lumps. The pillows need replaced (I brought my own) and need some sort of way to keep smells from a jointed door (we smelled NOT cigarette smoke co ibg from neighbor). Overall an okay stay. We'll be back.

It's location is superb. The beach is gorgeous and quiet, the pool is clean and very nice. The rooms are updated although the hotel itself is a bit older. The bar/restaurant across the street is a real plus.

The air conditioner was rather loud and there was a towel under it, I'm guessing to catch condensation. Beds were kind of uncomfortable. The adirondack chairs at the end of the building facing the ocean were a nice touch, but the ashtrays there were overflowing and very stinky.

Did not realize people could smoke right outside their rooms. Unfortunately, the couple next door sat outside ( with one of their chairs almost at our door) smoking the whole time. We were unable to sit out there at all due to the smoking, but the up side was that the door seemed to have a good seal and we could not smell the smoke in our room. It was a beautiful view on 2nd floor if we had been able to sit out there though.

The location, the people. My sister in law & I have been staying here for the last 8 years. We’ve never stayed anywhere else😁😁

There were only 2 things that needed to be addressed & that was the ice machine was broken all week & the swimming pool needed to be cleaned of the sand more often.
