I was sceptical at first because it was so cheap and in a small town. I'm from a small town and I know how "those" kinds of hotels could have the potential to not make for a very good stay but I was delighted to find a clean room. A card with the name of the housekeeper. Clean microwave. Mattress and pillow bed bug covers. And an air unit that worked, hot and cold. The memory foam on the mattress , A+++++++. I literally saw my body print when I got up. I like extremely HOT water to take a shower and I got just that, it does squeak a little when you turn it that far but so does my shower at home from time to time. The lobby had beer for sale but the is also a shopping center right across the street with a grocery store and VABC. Will be my go to in the future. Hope the prices don't go up lol.

.... There's no elevator but its only 2 floors, so i don't mind....The iron did leak a little water on my shirt.... If I have to find something I didn't like.

The location was perfect for what I needed. I didn't know anything about a breakfast though. The morning desk attendant was SO nice!!

The evening attendant was nice, but it was a little concerning to get there at 11:30, ring the doorbell and then have the employee come to the door in workout shorts, a long sleeve henley shirt with a stain on it, and no shoes....

The bed and linens were exceptionally good. The desk had ample workspace and was well equipped. Its chair was very comfortable, as were the upholstered chair and ottoman. Heater was efficient. Employees very friendly.

One of the lights in the bathroom did not work, leaving it rather dark. However, the receptionist at check-in was up front about it, and explained the situation.

My sister, brother & I stayed in a Extremely nice, Very Clean & already cool room which we were so thankful due to it being a hot summer day, the bathroom was so very nice also, the two large beds in our room was Very Comfortable, the room had a small coffee maker with cups wrapped in cellophane & their was packs of coffee grounds & the sides needed for your coffee, the continental breakfast was great and nice vending machines & of course free ice > Also, we Loved that the floor in our room was a wood like looking material, again, Very Clean & we had Very good water pressure & lots of hot water with our showers, we had a nice large T.V., a nice microwave, a fridge that kept our bottles of water very cold, a very nice table with a chair to do your computer work if needed & a extra nice comfortable, cushy chair AND “( FREE WIFI )” And the staff was so friendly & they went above & beyond the normal to assist us in any way we needed, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this recently updated place & we Will Definitely go back there.

Maybe some anti slip grip strips in the tub & maybe a handle to grip as you get out of the tub.

Friendly savvy staff; large easy room with a very comfortable bed (nice cotton sheets). Fridge and microwave in the room. Everything felt clean and simple. And they let us charge our electric car on the outside socket - a huge relief as there was no public charging station in Independence.

The doors/walls were a little thin - a guy talking loudly to another as he left his bedroom at 6 am was an unwelcome disturbance. Perhaps staff could warn people to be quiet along that corridor, especially if late or early.

breakfast typical for this price point. Processed foods full of sugar, but fresh. No boiled eggs instead of sugary cereals and packaged pastries. some fruit and high fat regular yogurt, bagels from white flour, no whole grains, etc. Coffee average and sugar added orange juice.

Hair dryer didn't work in my Room 108 and air conditioning cooling was substandard, even at the coolest setting. I at least expect a working hair dryer for the price I paid for this room.

Our reservation got canceled by Ebooking Had 2 res.Canceled one reserved another both got canceled .. very disappointed had no room. for us 13th and downsized for the 14h friends and front desk helped all the could ..please call me 804-720-4238 one canceled one showed as 2 rooms did not need so canceled and rebooted 1 Room king when we arrived both reservations canceled. yes disappointed was told ebooking did this ..???

Stayed here 4 times and keep coming back to this place with each visit. Quiet and within easy drive of the places we enjoy visiting.

Could use a rug in the rooms and a better shower head. Better selection of channels for tv.

The staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms are recently updated and spacious. Great base for exploring Grayson Highlands State Park. The breakfast has fresh fruit.

My only complaint is that the breakfast could use a savory protein item, like eggs. (Frozen egg biscuit, hard boiled would be fine.) The breakfast is too carb/processed food heavy.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a packed car with a carrier on top and the staff person indicated where best place to park was so that the security camera was watching our car all night!! Plus the beds were very comfortable.

They were so accommodating that I can't think of anything negative.
