The room was cozy and warm, nicely appointed with a queen size bed and solid desk with a comfortable chair. The bathroom was very clean as well, everything was in good shape. The staff were excellent as well, very friendly and helpful. After it snowed on the first night, they shoveled the walkway outside the doors and brushed the cars off. For the summer months, there is a beautiful gazebo and play structure out front and what looks like a nice picnic area in the back. I would highly recommend this hotel, and we will certainly book a stay here again on our travels.

This is a family owned and operated motel. The couple that run it were so welcoming and accommodating. Everything was so clean, which is most important to me. Though not a fancy hotel, it was perfect for the weekend. We traveled from Long Island for a baby shower. Simple, clean and comfortable. We had a breakfast planned each morning but were able to grab a coffee and a banana or a danish on the way out. I will definitely return when the baby is born. Thank you!

I needed to pay a $ 5 internet booking fee when I arrived. I'm sure this is in the small print somewhere, and it's not a big deal, but I was still not aware of this. Since the hotel's minimum credit card charge is $ 10, I either needed to pay $ 10 on my credit card or pay the $ 5 in cash. If you stay here, bring along an extra $ 5 in cash.

Rooms were a little small but clean and updated. No tub in the bathroom but the shower was roomy and super clean. There was a small sitting area with table and chairs. The property was in a busy road but noise was minimal. The attendants were nice and answered all my questions upon arrival. Checkout/checkin was quick as I had booked online. I would highly recommend this facility.

The fee for dogs is on the high side. We have 3 dogs and at $30 each that's quite a bit extra. Our dogs are clean and well-behaved, all you have to do is vacuum the rug after our stay and that takes care of their impact on the room. It doesn't take $90.00 worth of work to restore the room and we brought their beds as well.

I know you read reviews and they say clean room blah blah.. but these rooms were exceptionally clean! The bed was comfortable and memory foam pillow made me want to order one for myself .. we got there late (3am) n staff was so accommodating to us ! I would recommend anyone to stay here!

The bathtub stopper didn't work but that's nothing major.

If you want a reasonably priced, clean, friendly motel you should be very happy here. Older motel that has been maintained or fixed as needed. Very friendly office staff, I would guess they are the owners but did not ask.

Wifi worked fine when connected, but failed just before I left. As I was leaving I didn't report it to the office.

This was the second year I stayed at the Scottish Inns for Potsdam’s Reunion Weekend. I plan to stay there again next year! This year I booked a double because a family member came with me. I think I will book a double going forward regardless if I’m traveling alone or not. It was more spacious and worth the extra few dollars for the upgrade. The rooms are very clean, the bathroom was spotless and had soap, shampoo and conditioner provided. The bed was really comfortable, on the firm side just how I like it, and the pillows were nice as well. I slept solidly both nights! The room was cleaned on the morning of the second day and fresh towels and toiletries were provided. This was NOT the case at the last 2 large chain hotels I’ve stayed at - you had to specifically ask for cleaning services and fresh towels! The air conditioning worked perfectly which was a welcomed relief because it was a really hot and humid weekend. The facility overall is just super cute! Exactly what you expect when going to a small town like Potsdam for your college reunion!! The continental breakfast offered enough to hold us over before meeting friends for brunch. Coffee & teas, bananas and apples, bagels & bread, butter and cream cheese, cereal, juices, water… They opened at 7am which this early riser very much appreciated! The manager was a friendly and kind gentleman who was very accommodating. He appears to live on site and it is obvious he prioritizes customer care. Overall, a great weekend with very good accommodations!

Breakfast was good. Coffee was excellent, we loved the pastries and cereal. Looking forward to our next visit. Room is bright and sunny. I loved the shower . The children's playground area was great

It was exactly as presented; no surprises. The shower was hot with great pressure. The bed was comfortable with 3 different pillow thickness to choose. The morning coffee and food selection was fine. The price was appropriate and good value for the facility.
