It is very hard to find this level of old school accommodations on the waterfront. If you want a new build type of property, this is not for you. If you want old-world charm from days gone bye, this is the place.

The location was perfect. Close to both Prescott and Brockville. Very idyllic setting….the waterfront was beautiful. The whole ambiance was very peaceful, relaxing and loved listening to the sound of the water from the waterfront. Breakfast was great…especially the fresh baked muffins every day. It was a treat to eat our breakfast on the patio deck looking out over the waterfront. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Lots of staff working hard everyday and keeping the place super clean. The flowers and gardens were outstanding. You can tell a lot of love and care has gone into the property. Loved watching the hummingbirds in the garden. The boardwalks throughout the property were really nice and gave the place a cosy village feel. This place was even better than our expectations. Beds were super comfy…we slept well every night! We honestly wished we had booked more nights so we could stay longer and enjoy everything the place had to offer.

Only a couple things…the rooms had a damp musty smell and I noticed my sinuses felt stuffy the next morning after a couple nights. There are a lot of mosquitoes and bugs because it is so close to water. Not sure what else could be done other than maybe some additional citronella or something outside the rooms? But the beautiful setting and comfy beds make it worth it.

We saw a mink catch a fish and run across a sandy beach and watched big ships cruise past on the Saint Lawrence . The views of the river from the waterfront deck made this spot a great find for an overnight getaway - well worth it for the view alone , the beautiful gardens , the surrounding nature and helpful staff. The included breakfast was excellent , beyond our expectations including a bilingual server who bakes the muffins and banana bread on site. A++

Not the quietest spot because of proximity to train tracks and highway. If you have a choice of rooms / - cottage pick one close to the water.

This place is a gem...location!!, very clean!!, staff were so nice...I'll say like one of the reviews I read, before I booked.... " If you are looking for new, this is not your place" It is aged , but SO WELL looked after!!! Congradulations to all staff : breakfast, gardening, and cleaning everyone!!!...we could see the care you have taken with this "beautifully located little inn". We loved Prescott as well.We will definitely return!!

2nd visit to this unique property. Options of a hotel like room; efficiency or cottages. Beautiful grounds( the owners upkeep to gardens; ponds and boardwalk is impressive! It’s right on the st Lawrence for beautiful views from a common outdoor area and scattered chairs. Cottages are right on the water overlooking gardens each with their own deck table chairs and bbq Inside offers a full kitchen; living room and bedroom. Full bathroom ( just know there’s 1 step up/down to bathroom/kitchen.) Pine interior with clean older furniture. Usually a futon for a couch . Lots of character and themed in nautical decor and Knick Knacks Quiet area just off the road Breakfast included in the price . Basic but enough to satisfy We’ve only stayed 1 night each of our 2 times as just passing through the area. 10 minutes from Prescott for shopping/groceries.

Bed is a bit firm. Futons never great to sit on for comfort.

We stayed in a one bedroom cottage that was very big, comfortable and clean. The grounds are full of flowers and shrubs. We had a lovely view of the river. The breakfast room was very bright and the food more than adequate. The staff are all friendly and helpful. We liked seeing the owners on site too.

We loved seeing the river form or room and the opportunity to enjoy the outside area. Also was appreciative of staff interactions.

Felt that with rules worded so strongly about noise i was afraid that even a loud TV might be an issue. We thought to return with other family (and stil may!) but worry that any laughter etc that bothers others would be an issue. Just sounded very strict.

we loved the little cottage. it was very cozy and comfortable. The gardens and grounds were peaceful and beautiful. Wonderful variety of flowers. We awoke to many types or birds eg cardinals, hummingbirds, cormorants and loons. The view from the dock was breathtaking. The continental plus breakfast was generous and delicious including the homemade loafs. It was a quiet, relaxing few days we spent there.

Although we couldn’t enjoy a lot of the facilities because of it being winter time, the property looks really nice and summer time would be great here. The views of the river are quite nice. The little cottages would be really nice to stay in too.

My only complaint was the bed, I stayed in room #4 and found the mattress very worn in, I’m some one who needs a firm mattress, so maybe an idea to perhaps is to have certain rooms with certain mattress types to offer your guests.

A well kept property with beautiful gardens and sitting area looking out over the water. The rooms were not large but had everything you needed including 2 comfortable chairs. The breakfast was wonderful even included fresh baked muffins . Staff were all friendly and accomodating. A great place to stop on the way through (or spend time at the quaint cottages). We would definitely book here again.
