The house is a gorgeous old property set in an attractive small garden on the edge of a little village. The beds are large and comfortable. The meal provided was delicious. The host and hostess are affable and welcoming.

That it had been confirmed that dinner would be provided had been forgotten, though a delicious dinner was prepared. There are no curtains or blind on the window of the bedroom to use when weather too hot to close window and wooden shutters. There is no electric fan or air conditioning to cool the room. There are no tea or coffee facilities in the room. It has to be noted that the stairs are very steep so not appropriate for those disabled or lacking agility.

The historical charm was evident in every detail. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home, even preparing a delicious dinner that showcased local flavours. If you're looking for a truly unique and unforgettable experience I highly recommend this guest house.

While the house was truly magical, we did notice a few spider webs here and there. This is understandable considering the age of the building, but it might be something to keep in mind for future guests.

It is a delightful old house on the bank of the River Sarthe. Whilst the house in general is delightfully traditionally furnished, our large, comfortable, attic room was converted in a creative, modern style. Location is rural, but easy to find, and not inconvenient for the long-distance traveller. Very pleasant, attentive, but unobtrusive hosts.

All fine, unless you want a “Holiday Inn” - or a city stay.

The room was clean and comfortable, the house and surroundings beautiful. Right next to the river, lovely place to sit in the garden under the trees looking at the river to finish my book.. Dinner was supplied as an extra which saved going out and was delicious…Hosts super friendly…Lovely stay.

Beautiful surroundings, right next to the river.

Charged 64 euros for breakfast which was just coffee and croissants, cereal in dishes but no milk, which was a rip-off. So don’t have breakfast!

The meals were good cooked by the hostess.

The accommodation was on the top floor and required a steep climb up stairs and would not suit anyone infirm of unfit. There was no shower in the room and the bathroom was separated by a curtain,
