This is a small hotel, 6 rooms or 8 rooms only, in an old family house set in a brilliant central location, one block away from restaurants and shopping, and so all the convenience without the crowds and noise at night. The room was very individual with character. Quaint, winding stairs, interesting old fixtures and ironwork/windows, yet with modern convenience and beautifully restored and maintained. The two owners are lovely to work with and for communications, and for the very good breakfast each day featuring regional produce–fruit, yogurt etc. It was really great stay and in Angers again, I would not look further and be happy to be here in this magic little city in this magic little hotel.
I prefer walk-in showers, but I understand the limitation of the room and the need also to retain character plus have a designer tub, which was very nice.

The building is highly original and very unique. The rooms are of excellent quality as is the copious breakfast. We received a very warm welcome. It was very easy to access our room outside normal reception time. There is a shop with local and organic goods on site. Very reasonably priced parking available close by. L'Oisellerie is ideally placed right in the center of Angers within a few minutes of the castle, museum, main theater, city center, shops and restaurants. Angers is a lively historical and student city. Great for a weekend getaway. Will definitely be back, and soon!
Led lighting a little low in room.

A lovely historic property in a great location for exploring Angers. We loved the unique rooms and the breakfast made by the host was delicious with local produce. Rooms have all you need and there are nice touches like a fridge with local wines etc guests can purchase.
Our room faced out onto the road so it was a little noisy but there were earplugs thoughtfully provided. It was also made worse by Paris SG winning the Champions League causing the city to erupt- so can be forgiven!

Perfectly located in the old part of town, near the cathedral, L’Oisellerie was a wonderful place to stay. Steeped in history, it has kept all of its historic charm while being comfortable and stylishly restored. The bed was very comfy, the walk in shower was lovely, the decor and attention to detail was fabulous. Johanna was so friendly and the breakfast was amazing. We’d definitely stay here again.

It is a very old (but well restored) solid timber framed building in a narrow street with wonderful original features. The bed was most comfortable. Johanna, our host, was kindness personified. It is a very welcoming hotel. It is also excellent value. The home-made breakfast of yoghurt, crepes, croissants, bread and preserves was gorgeous. Guests should be mindful that the stairs may be unsuitable for those with mobility issues. Municipal parking is available nearby.
nothing. If you want lifts, on-site parking and a pool or gym, this may not be the place for you. If you like the personal touch and something unusual, then this is it. We would definitely stay here again.

This is an amazing historic house, in a beautiful city. It was an absolute privilege to meet one of the the current owners , Johanna, who with her partner obviously relish their time as custodians of a very special place. The furnishings, bathroom and bedroom - first class - and the breakfast second to none if you like ‘proper France’. This is a little jewel not to be missed. Mike and Kate Ward, Kent Anglettere

Our host Marlène was so helpful and lovely. The whole building was so delightful, including our little wooden door across the window into the light well / stairwell. Although the room is small, it was very carefully and well fitted out to be very comfortable and had everything we needed. The bathroom was quite large with a great shower.
The only strange thing was the tap over the sink, that seemed to just get hotter the longer it was on

Tastefully decorated and super clean room. Bed was big and comfortable, we slept really well! The standalone bath is an absolute delight, the perfect recharge from the rain. Hostess was a really nice and welcoming lady. Breakfast was traditional French with a well made croissant, proper french bread, yoghurt, cereal, Nutella, fresh Jam and honey, coffee and tea! Delicious! The building has beautifully dated, the style of the building is retained on the inside as well, quite a special experience we truly enjoyed 😊

Great central location in historic building. The room had been tastefully modernised with several interesting features. The continental breakfast was excellent with many locally produced options. Lovely charming and weloming hostess.

A charming 16th century building with well-appointed rooms that artfully balance with modern comfort and convenience with old-world touches. Host Marlène was extremely warm, welcoming and informative.
Some guests may find the multi-level wooden staircase hard to manage and/or rather noisy (as guests ascend/descend). It’s all part of the experience.
