Stayed here for one night during a stopover in Angers, between train journeys. It couldn’t be more convenient for the station and it’s just a short stroll into town from here. The hostess provided a hospitable welcome and allowed us to leave cases after checking out to enable us to spend the morning exploring the sights of this lovely old town, notably the chateau. The continental breakfast was excellent and immaculately presented, with fresh pastries, fruit etc on offer. Beds were comfortable.

The stairwell in the building is pretty utilitarian (if this sort of thing bothers you) due to the building’s age and design, not that this was a problem for us - unlike the humidity on this hot summer night which made for a slightly uncomfortable night’s sleeping.. (something to be aware of for those who prefer a fully aircon modernised establishment)

The staff were very pleasant the location isn't too far from city centre, 10 min walk. Best thing was the lively brasserie on the ground floor, good beer and food.

Parking! although we were very fortunate to find on street parking behind the hotel, it was very expensive as being close to the railway station. The 'municipal' underground parking was closed off, and finding the way into it was very badly signed. The lift only operates from the 1st floor so climbing up and down a set of stairs from reception was certainly NOT CLEAR in hotel description.

Perfect location for finishing the Loire a velo. Secure bike parking at railway station. Pleasant hotel well maintained and lovely staff.

No air conditioning (even in early June) and a room that was difficult to ventilate, despite the fan, meant we had a poor nights sleep. Breakfast overpriced - go to one of the boulangeries over the road.

Great central location, very quiet room even with the busy street right below us. Staff were so friendly and helpful, thank you so much for helping us with a dinner reservation after a particularly late arrival.

No air conditioning in the room, although a small tabletop fan was provided so we used this to get through the warm night.

Excellent location just opposite the station --- which is why we chose it. The room was small but adequate for a short stay. Breakfasts were very good for variety and choice.

More storage space would be necessary for people staying for longer

New renos, especially on bathroom just excellent. Nice mattress. Not noisy area. Breakfast was adequate and a fair value.

The better selection of restaurants were a big far to walk to ... a short taxi however.
