Elena (or Helena) who works at the front desk is an amazing person! She is so lovely to talk to, and even did our laundry, wash+dry for just 4 euros. The building and rooms are clean and great value. The location is interesting for its proximity to some beautiful caves.

Nothing negative to say about the hostel, but a warning to other travelers that the drive up to it is a bit intense! The road up the mountain is fairly steep and winding, and the locals drive fast.

Very friendly staff at reception, although I contacted twice because my arrival check in time movid rapidly too later in the evening, it was not a problem.

If I have to mention one thing, it should have been the bed. Too soft for me, I am used to a hard matrass, this was softer, and I slept fine nevertheless. Breakfast was plain and simple, en enough for what I wanted, nothing fancy or anything. Typical hostal type of meal.

Alvados is a village between Santarém and Fátima in the middle of nowhere. The existence of the hotel makes the difference. Comfortable room, good breakfast.

The village of this size doesn't imply the existance of not only a supermarket, but a minimarket as well. When asked, I was shown the way to the only place where a "vagrant" could buy the basics.

The facilities are good, the bed was comfortable and the cleaning was good. For breakfast you have the regular things (bred, coffee, jam, ham, cheese, milk, yogurt, ...). It would be nice to include vegetable milk and yogurt.

We liked the very likable receptionist the most, who gave us great restaurant recommendations. Also the breakfast lady was very professional and the breakfast was good taking into account that this is a youth hostel.

Nice staff, delicious breakfast! They let us check in early, since we were tired from walking the whole day.

Beds could be a bit more comfortable

Excellent family room(s) option: 2 separate rooms with one shared bathroom, spacy terraces. The receptionist Sr. Mário is outstanding - kind & helpful.

The beds are tiny. Breakfast quality is so & so - too much plastics used.

Everyone was super helpfull and welcoming, great way to start the year, i will definitely be visiting again!

Clean room and bathroom. Spacious and comfortable living room. Nice to have a shared kitchen but not a lot of amenities.

Quite isolated and basic breakfast

The most place is situated in beautiful natural surroundings. They served everyday good breakfast. The beds are comfortable and you can relax and sleeping well.
