This property is amazing. It’s been carefully and lovingly restored in the Art Deco style, down to the last authentic detail, from the furniture and wall paper to the cutlery on the table and the magazines in the salon. Whilst it’s spotlessly clean, it’s not over manicured so it also feels very warm and welcoming. Outside the pool is lovely and the surroundings are pretty, there’s even a little field with few animals to pet. Its a truly is an exceptional property. The bedrooms are very comfortable, again with all furniture from the 1930’s. There is a well equipped kitchen for guests to share which is really useful (especially when you have hungry teenagers, and you like cold rosé!). The generous continental breakfasts are thoughtfully prepared each morning in the dining room. I think what probably really makes it special here though is the wonderful hosts. Thierry goes out of his way to ensure guests are very well catered for and to give info about the house or the area etc. Vichy is a really beautiful town, just 2 minutes drive away. Parking was easy but restaurants on the river get very busy in summer so booking for the evening is recommended. We loved both the property and the area. Look forward to revisiting both one day.

The only comment I have is that there is no air conditioning - but then I don’t think it gets to 38 very often in Vichy so it’s probably not necessary most of the year.

This amazing B and B exudes character. The property has to be seen to be believed! It has been lovingly restored in Art deco chic. The owners have an eye for detail and there are gems from the 1930-40s everywhere. In addition, the spacious bedrooms have been modernised to include a good strong shower, basin and loo. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was a delight to look at and to eat. The swimming pool was a perfect place to relax Thierry is an excellent host and gave us good information about the area

It’s authenticity. Staying one night in this property felt like I was in another era of time. First when we arrived the garden was beautiful huge and the swimming pool was well maintained. The room with all the mirrors was out of this world, I slept well and the bathroom was so kind of royal, I love it. Then I woke up the next day, and the breakfast looked like a princess’s breakfast! To even make me feel like I was in the year 1940, the host played the record player, the decor the sound amazing one night getaway for a stop before our travel to south of France.

I really have to think hard here, I loved my stay. If there was an improvement maybe to be made, it’s the smell of the old furniture in the room but at the same time, that actually made me travel back in time …. So I can’t really find something not to like here.

Thierry was an amazing host and made us feel very welcome as we visited his beautiful house. Every attention had been paid to the detail and decoration of the house and it was a beautiful and unique experience that we will not forget. When he arrived we were delighted to jump into the pool and help ourselves to drinks in the kitchen. Vichy is a short drive away with lots of choices for dinner and highly recommended riverside walk.

We loved everything about our stay and left feeling very relaxed.

Thierry and Fargo were lovely hosts - very approachable and friendly. The room was good and the breakfast was delicious especially the fresh eggs from the resident chickens. The pool for the children was a great addition and Fargo the dog was very popular!

Whilst the room was clean, the smell was quite musty which I understand is from the furniture but it was quite overpowering, The windows on the inside had many cobwebs on them which need to be cleaned as well as hoovering under the beds.

We have been travelling from the South to the north of France and stayed for just one night at this extraordinary house. It was rather like staying on a film set. The house is full of art deco furnishings, the owner was extremely welcoming sharing information about the house and it's contents . The room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was perfect. Secure parking 5 min drive into Vichy. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area

A beautiful property, lovingly decorated with Art Deco pieces, the host was welcoming and knowledgeable and happy to share his passion for the era. The bed was comfortable, bathroom special and the breakfast excellent, thank you for sharing your home and passion with us.

the Art Deco theme of the decor, spacious garden and lovely swimming pool, plenty of parking space, very friendly and helpful English-speaking hosts, good breakfasts and good recommendations for evening meals.

Being adjacent to a fairly busy road, there was quite a lot of noise when in the garden. But there was very little traffic at night and our sleep was uninterrupted.

This was our second stay at the property - the previous occasion was back in 2013. The building was once used for sweet manufacturing and is uniquely furnished in mainly Art-Deco fashion. It's set in rural surroundings with a couple of horned sheep,in an enclosure, to keep visitors amused. The proprietor is a classic car enthusiast so some excellent examples to admire. The river is nearby where there are a couple of welcoming restaurants in particular Chez Memere.

Very interesting building, beautiful place. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Deco is so nice and breakfast is really nice.

Bathroom sink is blocked somehow, the water flew very slowly.
