The hotel is lovely. It's housed in a classic townhouse, the rooms are stylish, with beautiful windows and shutters, plus sometimes balconies with flowers. The location is perfect, a few steps from the spa park and water springs. The price is commensurate with the standard. The staff are very open, helpful and willing to talk.

Wifi works poorly. It's not a new property, so some of the features aren't stunning either, but this is reflected in the attractive price. There is no separate car park, so we drove around the surrounding one-way streets several times to find places to park a large car.

Very friendly staff, cozy and clean room! The breakfast was delicious.

At the breakfast somebody in the kitchen/ close to the breakfast room was smoking, and the smell went into the breakfast room. Not a big problem, but a little bit annoying for non-smokers.

Simpel but cosy place. Staff very welcoming and always there when needed. Breakfast very tasty. Great location

To make it perfect it could have a water boiler in the room for a hot drink before going to sleep....

Excellent stay. Hotel very well placed - a 4 minute walk to the centre and I could leave my car opposite the hotel (in the street)- no parking meters for free for my entire stay. Everything in Vichy is within walking distance of the hotel including the grand marche and Vichy's attractions. The manager was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was varied and very good. Would highly recommend this hotel. Greta value for the price too. Other Australian friends stay here too.

Nice hotel, I had a single room with double aspect windows. Simple but comfortable and clean. I loved having a hot bath after a day cycling. Nice, friendly staff, happy to store the bicycle.

Clean neat room, excellent breakfast, quiet location.

It's old-fashioned and needs a bit of a refit - but personally I rather liked it as it is.

Central location but very calm, beautiful buildings, cleanness, large charming room, very nice breakfast including ham, cheese (not common in France), friendly owner, excellent for money. In short, Hotel California has become "my hotel" in Vichy. I will definitely come back!

The room was clean and the mentioned amenities were available. Good value for money. The old classic look of the hotel room has been maintained.

There was no option for natural ventilation in the provided room as the only window in the room was sealed from opening.

Good value hotel in the centre of town. Our room was comfy and the shower was good. Close to shops and restaurants.
