You are going back to the old days of Vichy when you step inside! Wonderful classic with chandeliers and beautiful stairways! The staff were always Amazing! So very friendly and helpful too! My room and bathroom were very big in size! Plenty of room for stretching out and relaxing! The balcony was huge with old window doors to access! Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of items! Nice atmosphere for breakfast too! You can't beat this location! Everything within a 5 minute walk! Allier River, Parks, Shopping, Restaurants and Entertainment! My stay was very memorable! Our room, 205, was huge, with a balcony looking across to the Opera House. Excellent location within easy walking distance of the sights. The bathroom was huge, with a generous bath. We had a good swim in the huge, oval pool. We slept well in comfortable bed. Breakfast, in huge dining room, was fine.

On a Sunday evening it wasn't surprising that the hotel restaurant was closed, and we found a lovely bistro five minutes' walk across the park.

Absolutely loved the grandeur of this hotel, the rooms were huge and light, the bath was just what was needed on a chilly day, staff were very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Our room overlooked the Opera House and Park, and I would definitely stay here again. Vichy was a beautiful place to be. The architecture was stunning and we enjoyed beautiful walks by the river.

Great location next to the Opera, old Palace hotel that has kept an old fashioned charm, nice architecture. Rooms are very big, the bar is very cosy, the restaurant looks nice although I did not eat there. Staff at the reception is very nice and helpful.

The bath room would need to be slightly upgraded, but is on par with the hotel style

My primary concern is always the bed. It was very comfortable and large. The fifth floor room was lovely and comfortable. Personnel was very friendly and accommodating. Mostly, it's the experience of stepping back into history that I appreciated. It's a very elegant art deco building with historical furnishings.

Despite the cleanliness and maintenance, it's old. People expecting contemporary standards beware.

Rooms would benefit from air-conditioning during the summer months. Very loud klaxons and fireworks used by local council between 20.30 and 22.30 to scare birds from the local park areas.

A lovely place with an old-fashioned vibe. We had a large and comfortable room, with a big bathroom. It is however a little bit frayed at the edges; if you are looking for a modern chrome and glass style this is not the place for you…

Authentic and stylish hotel with decoration from the golden age of Vichy. Very friendly personnel, always ready to serve us and solve any issues. The swimming pool is a great bonus in the heat of summer, and the bar offers a great variety of drinks. The location is simply optimal, right in front of the Opera and Palais de Congres.

The hotel is dated and needs some renovation, everything is functional but barely. Our shower sprayed the entire bathroom, the temperature and water flow were difficult to control. Some rooms were lacking air conditioning which was a problem during the heat wave this summer. We were lucky they could find us other rooms with proper air conditioning. Still a great experience and we would stay there again, mainly because of the friendly service, excellent location and pool.

This hotel surprised us. It used to be one of the mansions of Vichy so the rooms were big and luxurious. It was right opposite the Opera House and the walkway to the spa and to the riverside park.

Breakfast was excellent, we loved the slightly faded elegance of the hotel, full of atmosphere, and the location was excellent.

Perhaps an extra armchair in the bedroom
