it was a pleasure for us to stay in Celestine Vy resort Thermal for 19 nights in March 2025 We came from Canada to take the course of thermal water treatment in Vishy. While staying in Vichy, hotel staff did it best to make our time there comfortable and convenient. In particular, while in Canada we sent a kind request to hotel management to make us an appointment with a thermal doctor in order to prescribe the treatment course on check-in day and we had such appointment directly on SPA premises upon our arrival - what saved our efforts and facilitated treatment procedures. More over, we were provided with direct access cards to Thermal water source and measuring glasses The hotel management did us a favour to upgrade the room for a higher class at no extra charge - what was highly appreciated. The room size was more than 30 square meters facing the park with the lake view, what make us comfortable staying there for a long time. While staying this hotel you should keep in mind of available special evening room service, what is not a usual in many other 5 star hotels. Out bedding has been changed on the daily basis. The mattress was really soft - what was also very important for us We need to mention also an excellent breakfast with selection of best cheeses, fish and ham, as well as freshly pressed juices. We have to mention as well a special 3 storey SPA facility (connected with hotel by enclosed passage, what provides the clients with different SPA treatments. We used to go there daily. Any time we addressed our minor concerns to hotel management, we had a quick and easy going response, the issues were settled immediately. Finally the hotel management provided us with courtesy shuttle service to the train station on check out day - what was really touching. Advise everybody staying in Celestine Vy resort Thermal. The rooms require renovation

It’s my second time in this hotel. My stay went smoothly, I especially appreciate the location, the beauty of the lobby, spacious and clean rooms, easy access to the SPA center. Love the rooftop swimming pool, warm and not crowded! The hotel is close to the river bank, which is great for the walks. The town center is also just a stone throw away. The underground parking is just 30 meters away.

The wifi is free, but the connection is not great. Couldn’t watch the film… Had to use my own Internet even for the social media scroll. The bar in the lobby is the definition of sadness. There was no music, no fire (there is a great chimney and it was almost Christmas, would be nice to see it lit). At 21-30, the barmen asks to pay and the service stops)) Also I didn’t like the breafast much, it was ok for a 3-4 star hotel, but not for the best hotel of the town… Limited variety, plus the crêpes were really stiff and impossible to cut with a knife.

The hotel staff were welcoming and efficient. Our room was very spacious and well appointed with lovely views over parkland and the nearby river. It was quiet and private. We had a huge window we could open to give lots of fresh air. The swimming pool was nice and as I had it to myself it gave me plenty of chance to swim. I think it would have been difficult if there were 3 or 4 others in the pool at the same time though as it's shape was two halves of a semi-circle giving less space. Part of the pool was inside and some outside giving the option of both. The area surrounding the pool was fabulous with both indoor and outdoor areas to relax in. There were plenty of clean towels and beds to laze on also good showers. The hotel is situated on a quiet street within easy walking distance of the city which is wonderful to explore. The cathedral is stunning and nearby there is a fabulous cafe called Babatche serving yummy street food with delicious flavours at very reasonable prices. Secure car parking is just over the road from the hotel at a charge of 30 euros per day.

The menu was both expensive and limited so we didn't eat the food in the hotel but there were plenty of options a short walk away.

I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room, which was spacious and comfortable. The entire hotel, including the room, had a really nice, fresh smell. Everything was exceptionally clean and the housekeeping service was available twice a day, which kept everything spotless throughout our stay. The staff were friendly and always willing to help, which made the experience even better. One unexpected highlight was the rooftop pool — a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the sun.

While the hotel itself is a bit dated, this was barely noticeable due to how well-maintained and clean it was

Many of the staff, waiters, front desk, and housekeeping, were not only helpful but pleasant and kind. The location was convenient to parks, shops, and restaurants and the view of the park from our window and the hotel restaurants was beautiful. Our room was large and comfortable.

The food at dinner was elegantly presented but not very tasty, and the portions were small. The limited menu in the bar was tastier with good cocktails.

Well situated in the town, and the variety of areas where we could sit and enjoy a drink (or a meal) was very agreeable

I would have appreciated written instruction on how to operate the shower, the lights, and the TV. The operation of the shower was particularly frustrating. The TV did not work in the first instance and I had to speak to the front desk. Likewise there was no indication that Wifi was available without a password without speaking to the front desk. In the night I would have liked to ONLY switch on the bedside table light without all the other lights in the bedroom area.. A written instruction sheet in the room would have saved all the frustration. I also think the ability to drive up at the front of the hotel to offload luggage was not clearly available and it was a struggle to bring the luggage up from the car park across the road

Location excellent. Very clean installations. ALL the staff is extremely nice. Breakfast and restaurant really good, on the expensive side but just because the quality is very high. Best meat we have eaten in years (beef and pork)

Some of the doors, furniture, hairdryers, drains of the sinks…need renewing. All is very well kept and clean but is somehow “Viellot” as the French say. Having said that, we have to admit that the price of the room is quite reasonable for a 5 stars hotel.

Unfortunately the bar was situated directly below our Junior Suite. It was rented out to a private party for the second night of our stay, so not available to the hotel residents. Loud music, screaming and shouting all night until 2am. As we were unable to sleep, I complained. The hotel made a deduction in our room bill, but this really should not happen in a hotel of this standard

Really expensive breakfast. Toilet was angled strangely so difficult to sit on straight! Staff quite abrupt.

Our room with a park view was beautifully decorated, comfortable, and large. The front desk service was efficient and welcoming. We appreciated the staff parking our car. We used the thermal spa and enjoyed our half hour there. Also the open pool on the 7th floor was a surprise treat. Breakfast was plentiful. Common areas in the hotel (such as the bar and outside terrace) were inviting. We loved the location along the park and riverfront, also the historical park across the street. All-in-all, a very pleasant stay.

The spa building is very large and offers many services. We would have enjoyed having more water possibilities available to all in the spa that didn't include specialized reservations.
