One immediate perk - bus from the airport takes you straight to the hotel, only 2€ instead of 30€ in the taxi, only takes about 40 minutes. Then you arrive, and the hotel looks like it does in the pictures! We were greeted by Constantina (hope I spelled it correctly) who was lovely, warm and friendly, and she gave us all the information we needed. The pool is just outside the reception and has a separate bar of its own - with amazing staff who are more than happy to serve and quickly learn your order! The room, which was upgraded to a suite, was perfect! It had a large balcony overlooking the pool, air conditioning in the room, a large television, such incredibly comfortable beds, ample storage space, and brilliant bathroom facilities with a jacuzzi style bathtub and rainforest style shower. My friend and I have already agreed that if we go back to Heraklion, we’ll be staying here again!

Bathtub in the bedroom was a bit unusual, but nothing that warrants complaint!

Small hotel, great polite staff with smiles on their faces, possibilty of luggage store when your room is not ready yet, clean towels, beautiful refreshing pool with sunbeds and umbrellas around, delicious breakfast

Breakfast offering was fantastic. Generous lunch packs were prepared for my wife and I when we had to leave on a day trip. The hotel is located within 70 meters of a large supermarket, which enabled us to get all the essential snacks and drinks we needed when we left the room to go out shopping in the city

The bed was comfortable but creaky.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Delicious breakfasts. The rooms were cleaned every day. However, the location is quite far from the city center if you don’t have a car. Everything you need was nearby – restaurants, a supermarket, the beach, a pharmacy, etc.

Very poor sound insulation. At night, the neighbors were very noisy in the hallway and disturbed our sleep almost every night. But otherwise, everything was very good

Tasty breakfast with quite a lot of options. Gluten free bread was available at request. We could always get a place in the hotel parking spot. A big supermarket just across the street.

Beds were a bit too hard. The hair dryer was broken. The neighbourhood was not very attractive especially in the evening. However, we had a very good stay.

Vanisko hotel really exceeded my expectations. Everything was absolutely amazing. From the car parked outside, you could leave the key at the reception and they would have moved it without even disturbing you and the car was always close to the entrance. The people of the hotel were the things I loved the most. From the people at the reception desk, always smiling and happy to help, to all the people of the restaurant, always available and nice. I really really loved it. I never seen such a high quality people in a hotel. Food was amazing with a large choice possibility. The swimming pool was outstanding and the room was so so so perfect. I got a free upgrade of the room and my room was literally stunning. Also all the cleaning ladies in the rooms where so nice and helpful. I really really reallly recommend this hotel. Quality price also was amazing.

Food was delicious. When you book this hotel, take also dinner. It was fresh and tasty. Staff was very friendly. Easy from airport take bus 6 to ammoudara, 1.20€ and appr 30 min. To airport bus 1. Bus stop 30 m from the hotel. Big supermarket 50 m from hotel, Lidl also close. To beach 400 m. Breakfast 7-10, dinner 20-21.30.

Pool was little bit cold for us, but its our "problem".(its open 11-19.)

The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was excellent! Free wifi was nice and the staff were helpful. I rented a car from them as well which was half of the price from renting from a regular car rental place. This was great since I could also just leave the car there when I was done.

My one complaint was that you had to pay for a pool towel and were not allowed to use the towels from the room. It seems a little nit picky but, just charge me the extra $3 dollars for the room instead of charging me at pool side for the towel.
