It’s easy to get to the hotel from the airport, just tell the taxi drivers the hotel name and they’ll know. Ride was 30€. You can also order taxi at the reception for a specific time during your departure, same price. You can extend your checkout if needed. The beach is roughly 4 minutes walk from the hotel, asphalt road (no hills or steps). Room was well air conditioned, we had a very large balcony, our room was the very end of the hallway, so our balcony was L shaped (big plus). Room service in the hotel is daily. Breakfast was nice (buffet). During breakfast there may be cats visiting to say hi, during dinner we had free fruits and shots of raki. The staff were always smiling, and they were very kind, very welcoming atmosphere, we felt welcome as well. Thank you for the time we could’ve spent at your hotel. We have enjoyed Crete to the fullest.

Shower was a bit small, I’m 185cm and if I were a bit taller I’d have to bend my neck, but I know in Greece there are smaller bathrooms overall so we didn’t mind. We didn’t have our towels/sheets changed during our stay (1 week), only once day before we were about to leave.

We arrived early, but our room was already prepared and waiting for us. The personnel was extremly friendly. We had breakfast and dinner payed, and we can not complain about neither the choice, nor the size of the portion (though we both have a very good appetite), so we didn't regret the half-board. The breakfast was buffet, and we could choose a 3-course dinner from a menu. The pool is adapt for both swimming and playing, and there was almost constant supervision, so everybody was toally safe. We could choose from several games (card, pickleball, checkers and billiard- this last one was not for free, though) outside the water, too. The rooms were thoroughly cleaned every day (except Sunday). The sea was close, and the city was easily accessible by bus nr. 1 that stops in front of the hotel.

The pool was open only betwwen 10 am and 7 pm (due to the working hours of the supervisor).

Excellent stuff and really good restaurant in there, good location, not so noisy and not do far from Heraklion, bus stop is just straight near hotel And on the reception they advised us really good car rental for good price =) We would really recommend it 👍🏻

The room is not so big and we have no window in there, only balcony We had a breakfast for our stay, but on the last day we were leaving in the night and asked for a breakfast to take, but on Crete it is forbidden to take breakfast like that due to health reasons

Comfy bed, good sized room and bathroom. Good breakfast and enjoyed the bar by the pool. Check in was easy and the staff were friendly. Walkable to lots of restaurants and shops and the beach

Shower was great water pressure but went everywhere so the bathroom was essentially a wet room. Apparently no cleaning service on Sunday which fell on the day we were meant to get our towels swapped over. Reception wouldn’t give us fresh towels that evening, saying we had to pay €15 for them. Bit frustrating as we had been hanging the towels up each day but poor ventilation in the bathroom meant they didn’t really dry. The building we were in was also quite noisy, especially in the mornings with the breakfast service - could hear everything from the kitchen

Good hotel and good room. The staff was nice and the check in and out went smoothly. We really liked the breakfast. Perhaps somewhat basic style, but still a good place to stay. And the hotel has its own car park which was great.

We were happy with our stay. Perhaps the view from the balcony to an abandoned yard was a bit boring, but that's hardly a reason to complain. We weren't planning on spending our holiday on balconies anyway :D

Nice hotel. It's clean and comfortable. There is a balcony and air conditioning. The location is great, only 5-7 minutes from the beach, shops, and many restaurants. Bus stop is just near the hotel. The restaurant of this hotel is really great. The staff was positive, helpful, and welcoming. Will be glad to come back here in future

Extremely helpful and kind staff, from the day I booked my stay there was always someone to answer my questions quickly and help me with any problems I had. We got a bigger room than I thought, there was a mini kitchen, really comfortable beds and the whole space was clean. Breakfast was tasty and had many things to choose from including vegetarian options which varied day to day. I really enjoyed my stay there I regret that it was so short, I highly recommend this place.

I have no complaints to my stay at the Castro hotel. Maybe only breakfasts had less variety than in other hotels I stayed, but nevertheless I think it was great.

Very friendly staff, clean, the room had everything what we need, confortable beds.

If you ghet the room inside the yard where is the parking pleace or sweeming pool during the night is very, very quiet, but we got the room from the main street, we had a lot of noise from the cars and truks durring the night (just this was the “big” minus, in rest I don’t have anny complain)

the location is excellent for those like me who have decided to have a holiday near the sea... the hotel is 15 minutes by bus from the center and an hour by bus from the airport. Very good bus service, bus goes every 10 min. Near the hotel there are beautiful beaches and lots of shops, bars, restaurants and car rentals. Excellent breakfast. Excellent Maxim restaurant with very friendly staff

This is a good hotel for the money! Very convenient location, close to shops, bars, a club and good beaches, children's rooms. The city center is 20 minutes by bus, the beach is 8 minutes on foot. You can get to the airport by bus in 50 minutes and get off right next to the hotel. Friendly staff, daily room cleaning, varied breakfast. The pool is clean. I liked it very much, I would come again)
