Everything just the perfect spot with truly lovely staff fantastic location lovely room and great food.

Only one slight let down was the breakfast. Not sure if it was a Greek thing but all the buffet items ( Bacon, potatoes, sausage beans etc) were all cold! Held in cast iron pots on a hot plate but with no lid and air conditioning. Was a lovely spread and the omelette station.was great as was all the continental selection so not the end of the world as plenty of choice . But just seemed a shame as everything else was perfect. As I say may be a Greek thing as everyone else seemed to tuck in to the cold bits with no issue but not my cup of tea 😀

The staff was exceptional—always friendly and polite, making our stay truly enjoyable. The food was outstanding, and we particularly loved the breakfast buffet, which offered a delightful variety of delicious options. Our spacious ground-floor room was impeccably cleaned every day and featured a relaxing jacuzzi, along with a private mini-yard that provided direct access to the beach and outdoor restaurant. The bed was incredibly comfortable, topped with the best pillows I’ve ever experienced—I slept like a baby! The WiFi was impressively strong, allowing us to connect even at the beach, which was a fantastic bonus. Plus, a supermarket was just a 5-minute walk away, and the bus station to the city center was conveniently located right across from it.

I was surprised to find that there wasn’t a safe in the room. It’s a minor detail, and certainly not a drawback, but just found it weird as a standard feature in a 4-star hotel given all the other amenities.

Great location - chose a room with sea view . - the important consideration being that as Amoudara is on the north coast of Crete, the sea-view rooms do not receive direct sunlight and therefore the large balcony could be used at all times of day to enjoy the fabulous sight of an azure Mediterranen with an occasional wind-surfer skimming across the sparkling waves while we were enjoying a cooling cocktail. ( Rooms on the other side of hotel would have been unbearably hot). The restaurant - literally on the beach just across the small quiet road - is an open but roofed area which allows the very welcome sea breeze but provides effective shade from the heat of the sun, enabling us to enjoy lovely food from the extensive menu while sitting in comfort. Whether having a meal in the restaurant or reclining on one of the many tastefully arranged sun-loungers, sofas or chairs just yards from the sea, the staff were amazingly attentive and kept us provided with drinks or snacks whenever we wanted. The level of service from the friendly staff is just one of the many attractive features of this hotel - from the neatly folded clean towels left every day by the discreet room maintenance to the complimentary extras accompanying our orders for meals or drinks. When family members staying locally joined us for lunch we ordered meals for six and after we had managed to consume the generous main course we weren't planning to have a dessert but the waiter brought a plate of chocolate ice-cream cones which was a thoughtful treat and then arrived with a deliciously light bombe-mousse pudding - all a very enjoyable complimentary surprise! Breakfast can be taken in the very pleasant eating area in the hotel with its good choice of hot and cold foods from the buffet or one can take a plate of food across to the beach restaurant if one prefers breakfast by the breakers. All of the meals taken in the restaurant were very well presented and served promptly.

We had to come home!

We had a fantastic time and would go back anytime. The hotel is very calm and quiet, leaving the windows open and listening to the sea was the best noise to fall asleep to. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. The hotel restaurant is excellent, staff is friendly and respectful, and the fact that the hotel has an own beach is a huge plus. We also liked the location - only 15 mins of drive to Herakleion, yet it was at the very edge of the city, making it super calm.

The breakfast could use a bit more variety - nice dishes, but the same every day. Not the hotel's fault at all, but the nearby power plant can be a bit smelly in the evenings.

We reached the hotel much before its designated check-in time but, they accommodated us without any fuss. Our room was ready in two hours. Breakfast was good. Variety of dishes and food to choose from. After lunch in the restaurant waiters brought free desserts and national alcohol. Room was cozy and clean, housekeeping was daily. Great location of the hotel with its own access to the sea. Friendly staff and courteous service.

Our room was located near the entrance to the restaurant so there was no privacy. The noise from the restaurant after 10pm was also disturbing.

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed. We had a huge room with huge balcony and amazing sea and mountains view. The beach was right there, with comfy sun beds, the breakfast, the restaurant and bar services were exceptional. The staff was super nice and helpful with anything we asked. I just want to be back every summer!

On the weekend all sunbeds were taken by guests of the restaurant since they are not reserved for those who are staying in the hotel. We ended up walking to the hotel nearby renting sunbeds there.

I have had room `Deluxe Suite with Sea View` with breakfast and dinner included. The room was very comfortable and view from it was just perfect. For breakfast you can choose something already prepared in the main hall or order outside omelette and pancakes. For dinner you can select something from menu (starter and main course) including dessert and salad - this menu is different every day. The food was very delicious and I even had a lunch there. My room was cleaned and also bedclothes were changed every day. They will not do that only if you do not provide access to your room (for example you will stay in your room during cleaning which is usually from the morning till about 3pm, but I am not sure about exact time). What I appreciated that you are able to order any meal from their restaurant menu to your room.

Sun loungers and beach chairs are provided in front of hotel, but since anybody outside of this hotel can come to use them (I think for some price), I would recommend to book them till 9am on Sunday, since later everything will be occupied. But this issue was occurred just once on Sunday and The staff was able to solve it by providing us additional beach chairs, thank you for that :). Usually, there are a lot of free beach chairs on other days during the week

The breakfasts were really nice, and there were always many choices, including fresh fruits and freshly made pancakes. There were always places to sit inside, as well as in the restaurant on the front of the beach. There were always enough sun loungers and umbrellas available at the beach. The room was nicely clean daily, with fresh towels arranged in nice towel origami.

The hotel is great and looks very nice. The garden is really beautiful and a nice place to spend your evening with a drink. The beach is very close and windy, I understood that this one is perfect for windsurfing, but you have to take lessons for 2-3 weeks before you can go. The waves were pretty big, because of the wind I guess. And we also liked a lot the food from the restaurant, compliments to the chef. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was more than perfect for the stay. We enjoyed our days here, it was very relaxing.

Just some suggestions that I think will improve the experience. The first one would be an umbrella or something that can keep the sun away from the balcony because at some point it was very hot. The other one would be a shower stand for when you do not want to wash your hair, I think it would be a really good idea.

The staff is incredible! We were greeted outside by the chef when we arrived. We were given a tour. Made sure we were happy with our room. The included breakfast (we paid for the upgrade when we booked) was amazing. Highly recommend it. The restaurant attached to the hotel was also great! Included beach loungers, bed, and bean bags for guests. Beach was right there! Not far off the highway. It's a really spectacular family beach hotel.

Wished there was a safe in the room, but you can rent one for an extra fee. The beach view was obstructed by the restaurant. And everyone in the restaurant could see us, so we had to keep our blinds shut. But it was nice to listen to the waves.
