We stayed in the Hotel Porto Sofie on the last night of our holiday and it was quite simply the best of all. Gottlieben itself is lovely and the hotel has the very best location, on the water where boats, rowers and swimmers pass by. If you can possibly stay in room 56 with its terrace, then do. Kitsch but done beautifully! Dinner on the terrace was excellent, thanks to the quality of the food, wine, the view and atmosphere. I’ve eaten a lot of lemon sorbet over the years - this one was memorable. But in particular, this hotel has fantastic staff. Lucas the concierge and our waitress, Isabel, were top notch and made a good experience a great one. Thank you both.

Breakfast was very good. Location is beautiful right on the river....outdoor terrace in nice weather. We did not book a room facing the river but our view looked on the side at another hotel (not in use) and was very quiet and peaceful. Bathroom was decent size....very pink! Good shower. Safe bike storage but not protected from weather.

We had lots of room to spread out and there were two chairs but you couldn't pull them up to the desk. No common area in the hotel indoors.

Room itself had a perfect renovation style, good furniture, and in front of the lake, very spacious and chic. Breakfast was good, dinner in a hotel restaurant is also possible by arrangement in advance.

There is not much going on outside the hotel, here you'd better come by car. There are parking places for extra fee.

This beautiful ancient house was filled with a very friendly and kind staff. Special needs for dinner were taken care of immediately. The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. The only negative aspect was breakfast. It felt as if we were in a canteen and the selection of bread and drinks and cereals wasn't what we expected. No fresh tomatoes or cucumbers or fruit prepared either.

Stylishly renovated boutique hotel, with elegantly styled rooms, restaurant, cafe & very friendly staff. Best possible waterfront location, in a tiny historic village of Gottlieben, with beautiful cafes & walking paths by the lake. Hotel has a wonderful scenic terasse by the water, open all day from breakfast until midnight. Direct access to Seerhein cruises & mere 4.5 km from Konstanz city center by car or boat. Our dog was also welcome, without extra charge. We extended our stay to 2 nights. And will most certainly be back again in Hotel Porto Sofie.

-Spectacular, very high water leven of the lake -Boutique Hotel, room number 60 with lake view was quite big -Even a thunderstorm prohibit us from open air evening meal, the food in the Restaurant was very good

-The room was not so quiet as expected, because the window with the mosquito net had a direct view to the garden reataurant.

The bar was very nicely designed and had very cosy atmosphere. They serve variety of cocktails and delicious cakes. The bartenders there were very professional!

the shower was weak and sewer tends to clog. also after taking shower the bathroom floor was soaked. Since it‘s old building, there are a lot of small steps. My husband hit his head to the same door frame 3 times.

Superb little hotel with classic Swiss service... excellent of course. We will be back again for a few nights next time.

The room was quite warm. And with outside diners, there was quite a bit of noise if we wanted the window open.

Rally nice, close to the lake. Everything was perfect, the room was really clean, breakfast was perfect and the view of the room (lake view 🪟 combined with the silence was gold... beautiful )

There was a very warm and personal welcome. Even though I arrived late the Gentleman very kindly waited for me and ensured everything was Ok for me.
