The property had old character and charm, but provided all modern facilities and it was a pleasure to stay there. I particularly liked the old photo’s around the building telling the story of the hotel in former years. Outside roof terraces also provide lovely locations for a relaxing sit for a coffee and a chat. Then the staff, they were very friendly and welcoming and did everything possible to make your stay special.

Nothing it was a lovely hotel

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Traditional features made it stand out from the run of the mill chain hotels, whilst having comfortable and modern facilities. Everything was clean and well maintained, and the air conditioning worked very well on a hot day. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was great being in the centre of this lovely town. Also being just over the border from Switzerland it was better value than Swiss accommodation.

Very welcomming greeting by the reception guy. told us where to park our car at a garage nearby the room was air conditioned and of a very good size. spotlessly clean the outside terrace was very nice to use with a cheeky glass of wine. the restaurant wasnt open on our time of visit. Konstance has lots of lovely eating establishments so that wasnt a problem Great location for access to all areas

Visitied Konstanz for the Christmas markets. Hotel was in a great location on a square at the top of the main shopping street, about 10 minutes walk from the train station. Room and bed were very comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful, provided us with free tourist tickets as part of a local tourism scheme, which gave free transport and reduced museum tickets.

Breakfast was expensive so we didn't book, went to local bakeries/coffe shops instead.

Staff were really friendly. Location is excellent for the cathedral and port. Lovely drinks terrace at the front of hotel.

The hotel was of historical significance and had some beautiful old rooms, but some of the renovations seemed unsympathetic to original building which was a shame. Car park is a short walk from hotel.

Location was excelllent. Staff were polite, extremely helpful and attentive.

Door to the bathroom did not allow proper privacy. A small fridge in the room would have been a bonus and extra pillows useful. Large square German pillows are not very comfortable if you did not grow up with them!

Location was central to everything. Breakfast was excellent, coffee was fantastic. Bed was super comfortable, the down comforter was amazing. I loved the towel warmer in my bathroom. The twin room was super cozy for one person. Small but all I really needed.

It was very quiet despite being so central

Missing the basic things like having hot water to drink. I had to go to the restaurant and ask to fill my bottle but the staff was all very nice to do this for me. Also expected the room to be a bit nicer given the price.

Very central location. Staff when we checked in was helpful. Our room was located towards the back of the hotel which meant it was very quiet all night long even though we were there during Fasnacht.

Beds were too firm for us to sleep comfortably.

Superb breakfast with very friendly staff! They were the best! Loved the fact that the hotel is very dog friendly.

We had the standard room, it was dark and small. However, we requested a quiet room so it was the price to pay as our window faced a dark backyard. For a longer stay like hours (one week), for a couple I would recommend a bigger room.
