The accommodation is very close to the train station, and the self check-in and check-out system is convenient for travelers with uncertain arrival times. The room was larger and cleaner than expected from the photos, and the bathroom showerhead was thoughtfully positioned for shorter guests. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and greeted us warmly.

Soundproofing is relatively poor — you can hear other guests from the hallway. There's no elevator, so you'll need to carry your luggage upstairs. Communication via the Booking system or email defaults to German, which can be inconvenient for travelers who need to translate the messages. Additionally, you’re required to share personal information through the hotel’s booking system, presumably to set up the self check-in code, which is understandable but still feels a bit cumbersome.

The location is perfect, next to the old city (plenty of shops and good restaurants - 5 min walk to the port) and is actually very quite even though there are restaurants nearby. The rooms are big enough, very clean, with super comfortable beds, good quality ammenities. The have a small terrace outside, very cozy. The stuff was super kind. Even though they don't have a reception, the Team helped me right away with any requests that we had. I strongly recommend this hotel. For sure we will come back here. Everything was PERFECT.

Great location., near the train station, shops, bars, restaurants and the lake. Friendly, helpful staff. Nice indoor and outdoor communal areas. Tastefully decorated.

No fridge in the room. We had a problem with our window and it could not be fixed until after our stay. Not the management,s fault. But as it was so hot, it would have been much better if we had a fridge in the room

The location is excellent, close to the train station, the Pier, mutiple restaurants and shopping areas.. The staff is excellent, super nice hosts that make you feel at home all the time.

The room can get a bit warm, we had to sleep with the window opened because we can't sleep with the noise of a ventilator. Unfortunately, if you open the window the street can be loud which could be an issue for light sleepers. There are multiple parkings in the area at 25 euros per night.

Wonderful location: the hotel is about a minute from the train station on foot. I thought my stay was very good value for money, too, and the room was well laid out and comfortable. But more than anything, the friendliness of the staff made me enjoy my stay. I spoke to one of the co-owners (it is a wife-husband team), who talked to me about the history of the city, advised me where to visit, and was extremely kind and personable. I would certainly stay here again.

Fantastic experience. Room is bright, comfortable and has everything you need. The staff where amazing. My luggage was delayed and had to be delivered by courier the hotel went out their way to make sure they received my luggage on my behalf, put it in my room and noticed me immediately when it had arrived.

No lift available, our room was on the second floor, forget to check this detail. No ac unit was provided with an industrial fan which helps to overcome the high temps which are not normal . also shower facility tight if your a big build.

The location is fantastic. Central city location. Parking garage a 5 minute walk. The husband and wife who run this hotel are wonderful and warm people. Our room could not have been cleaner. The breakfast was lovely. This isn’t a fancy property. There is no elevator but this was not a problem for our two night stay with carry on luggage.

I really enjoyed my stay at the City Hotel Konstanz. The lady of the house, Carmen, will assist you with information about the city along with any extra requirements that you might need, to be as comfortable as possible during your stay. Breakfast was a delicious buffet and excellent coffee is available.
