Great location - 10 min walking distance from Konstanz. Rooms were very clean and functional. Very comfortable beds. Amazing shower. Good internet and very good breakfast. Easy and free parking. Hotel bar is simply excellent - great selection of Whisky from all over the world. Got very good welcome/check-in by Ude. and Frank (working in the bar) was simply amazing!! very knowledgeable about whisky, very entertaining, pleasant and helpful! Frank is a superstar of this hotel! we would come back again just to spend few more evenings with Frank!

Nothing really to complain about. Small fridge in guest rooms would be beneficial. Otherwise-cannot really find anything that we did not like.

Characterful hotel on the southern edge of Konstanz. This hotel may appear traditional from outside but rooms have been renovated and were quiet with comfortable contemporary fittings. The bar specialises in whisky and the hotel is themed in a charming and eclectic Scottish baronial style. Breakfast was good and staff were very helpful. My suite was super well equipped with a separate bedroom with comfortable large double, large modern shower room, and living room with a kitchenette including microwave, hob, fridge and all you would need to self cater.

The room was clean, with a nice kitchenette The staff was very friendly and helpful. On the second night we were directed to the rooftop terrace and had a lovely night before going to sleep. The breakfast was good, good selection, fresh fruits were only available on day two after a request. Since the weather was nice, we could sit outside which was totally relaxing. We were actually supposed to stay at the villa, but for some reason we were asked to go to the room in the hotel itself, which was much nicer as it further away from the road. So whoever mixed that up - a big thank you!!

The room was rather hot when we came as no one had opened the windows beforehand (of course, as we weren't supposed to be there in the first place). The apartments in the Villa are probably a bit more noisier because the building is right beside the road that crosses the German/Swiss border.

The hotel is a building from 1904 that has been recently upgraded. The staff was very friendly. Everything was very clean. The hotel is a pet friendly environment and surrounded by nature. The room size is okay for a couple with a small kid. The breakfast was delicious!

Unfortunately, the hotel does not have Air Conditioner (although it has heating for the winter) - I was in Contanze during the summer and the room was a little too hot at night. Although the shower is really good (lots of water), the size of the shower box was not that big.

Good location, right across the border from Konstanz, with all major attractions of the city within 20-30 minutes walking distance. Nice, clean, comfortable rooms. Bicycles for rent available on site. Friendly and helpful staff. Reasonable price.

There was nothing I didn't like during my stay. However, my cute and cozy room under the roof had no air conditioning, which might make staying there less pleasant on a hot summer day.

The host was so warm, friendly, gregarious and entertaining! This place totally exceeded our expectations. The grounds are very stately looking, the whisky bar totally iconic and the rooms super clean and very comfortable. Absolutely excellent value and truly memorable!

Would have liked the cappuccinos to be hotter at breakfast - a small detail all things considered!

Great place, with good location. Walking distance to Kostanz(about 25 min) however in hot days it's better to have a car! Nice garden especially for our two small size dogs who enjoyed the first and late walking of the day. Breakfast is also very good!

There is not air conditioning for hottest days! However Windows are equipped with screen against fliers so we could leave them open in the noght.

The rooms and the hotel have a really nice atmosphere. Breakfast is good and the staff does a very good job! The river and the old town are within walking distance (10-25 min). Dog friendly:)

The room got pretty hot at night and there was no airco or fan in our room 210.

The place has its charm, located in a quiet area with a nice walk to Konstanz. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated, clean, and had a comfortable bed. Lovely staff and excellent breakfast. We were very satisfied with our stay.
