Great location overlooking Pirates bay and 1 minute walk to the beach and The Tessalated Pavement. Good sized room for a few days stay with a kitchenette. Restaurant and Bar onsite.

Unfortunately the couch was worn/ripped and uncomfortable and needs to be replaced. The bed was firm which was great but it has no padding so is a hard sleep surface. The outdoor furniture is all rusting. The outdoor area needs some protection from the cool wind. We could only sit outside for 1 night during a week stay. Access to a BBQ would have been an advantage.

The location across the road from the bay, the Tessellated Pavement rock platform and the beach was absolutely brilliant. We had lovely walks over there, saw quite a bit of native wildlife and enjoyed a swim at the beach. The location is also handy to other interesting places to visit - historic and geographic - including only about 20 minutes to Port Arthur. Even though ours was just a standard twin room, it was lovely and had a surprisingly good view from the window including the garden and the bush and bay across the road. The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the meals at the restaurant (amazing seafood chowder!) and being able to sit outside for a drink overlooking the bay was great. There's a fireplace and lounge chairs in the bar which looked like it would be very cosy in cool weather. We found the staff friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking. It's a good old-fashioned kind of hotel, comfortable and clean. Definitely recommend this property.

Some of the furniture in the room was a bit worn/dated (torn couch/broken toilet seat), and the layout of the bathroom is problematic (hanging your towel rail in the shower bay is a bit strange) Meals at the restaurant were wonderful, a bit expensive to pay $38 a plate when the meat/fish was the very best but we had bland vegetables and a limp salad that were not eaten/wanted (I would have paid less per meal rather than have poor quality food that brings the plate standard down)

The stunning view through large windows from several locations in the property including the Dining Room & Bar. Location!Location! location! Easy walk to the Tessellated Pavements. Close to several highlights close by. The staff were friendly, evening meals in the restaurant were plentiful and tasty. Plenty of parking. A great place for day trips to Port Arthur, The Remarkables, historical convict sites etc

No lift to second floor. Carrying heavy luggage up 2 flights of stairs … but other than that nothing! (I believe refurbishment and upgrade of the property is about to commence in stages but we were happy anyhow)

Located in a great position with all of the Tasman Peninsula in arms reach. We opted for the King Studio Apartment option which had a great view and all the amenities you might need. Enjoyed being able to have a meal and a drink at the accommodation also. I was also happily surprised with the range of streaming services available on the room TV.

I thought the meals were a bit overpriced given the portion size, I was also surprised that there wasn't a barista made coffee (instant coffee only) included in the $16 fee given the very basic spread of breakfast items.

Excellent staff - friendly and helpful. Comfortable clean room, good walk-in shower. Fantastic location! Great views, close to beach and short or longer walks, scenic and historic places if interest close by.

The live music was at a location close to our room. But not an important issue as it was only for a short period (3 hrs) on weekends at a time (late afternoon / early evening) when we were easily and conveniently elsewhere. It drew a small crowd and so it was a low impact way of appealing to a diverse group of guests.

Perched right above the beach this hotel is great for sitting back, either inside or out, and taking in the sea view. Room was nice with enough space for two and bags. Convenient having the pub/restaurant right downstairs especially as the rooms are not set up to self-cater. Nice listening to the sea at night.

Not the hotel's fault but good to know, nothing else around this area so you will need to either eat before you arrive or be prepared for hotel dining. Maybe a bigger fridge in the room for travellers who need to keep food cold.

The second night we moved into a self contained apartment which was very well equipped and much more modern than the main hotel. Great views from the restaurant but the food was pretty basic for Tassie.

The hotel room was full of about 20 live mosquitoes when we arrived. We mentioned it to the guy on reception who gave us a can of spray to use. It soon fixed it but shame I had to do it myself with a child in tow and then clean up all the bodies! No more came in thankfully and the rest of the stay was very comfortable.

Easy reception not to many questions and rules. Was able to quickly grab the key card and go. Felt relaxed and comfortable Nice gas heater Provides machines liquid and powders. Provides most kitchen appliances and cupboards. Good amount of towels provided. Maybe a couple more if more people were staying. Liked how there is car parking close to rooms.

I have stayed before. I am local. My last stay was a little bit nicer. Warmth throughout whole room, where as tho stay the warmth stayed with in kitchen and living room. Also I liked my last view better haha. And this stay / room the hall way lights did not work at all, which was disappointing. Was good you still have electric blankets. Be sure to check bathroom cleaning as I found 1 or 2 hairs in bath this stay. Not a menu or something to book for later on or upcoming meals in restaurant. Should have a clothes section for drying after washing. (Clothesline type thing) My last stay our living and kitchen had blinds this room did not have any sadly.

Very clean and professionally run hotel and very friendly staff. The location is unbeatable, being adjacent to the Tessellated Pavement, and I loved looking out of my window to see the ocean.

I learnt to not complicate things too much in the bistro; I ordered main and dessert together and I had to remind them about my dessert. I was a bit annoyed when the waitress tried telling me that I had to collect my dessert from the counter; isn't that her job? But this was only a minor issue, and actually a little amusing when I think about it, and probably my fault for complicating things for them.
