Cute lite place located at the end of a tiny picturesque alleyway in the heart of Urbino old town. Very clean minimal bedroom, delicious abundant breakfast with lots of local organic food, nice staff, easy self check in. Close to some of the least touristic spots for shopping and dining and very close to the main artistic attractions.

A little table was missing, I didn't know where to study (this was the main purpose of my visit as I am studying art). So I studied on the bed, not the most comfy.

Near the centre of an historic town. Staff went out of their way to help with carparking and transport of luggage - exceptionally helpful. Room was large, comfortable and cool. An interesting range of good local produce to choose from at breakfast. We were able to explore the town very comfortably for several days.

Hotel is old, plenty of character and located in the heart of old town. Charming location

Hotel is perched on a very steep hill. Cars not allowed in that sector. Parking is found at a public garage outside the old city and not convenient. The climb to the hotel is not for old legs that being said, it’s a wonderful place to visit

First of all Urbino is an amazing and beautiful medieval/Renaissance town. This hotel is right smack in the middle of it. Tough to find but well worth it! Park in the parking garage outside the walls and it is a short walk. The room was great and the front desk staffed with friendly people. We absolutely loved this place. We stayed one night wish it had been two.

Everything was perfect

The Rafaello is situated in the centre of Urbino. Within a short walk there are several restaurants, bars and cafes. The main sites - the Duomo, and the Ducal Palace are within a few minutes' walk. The room was comfortable and well equipped. The manager had little English, but was kind.

My wife and I are getting on a bit. We arrived by car. Like many Italian ancient hilltop towns, Urbino is pedestrianised. It is possible to drive in it, but the rules are complicated. We left our car in the Santa Lucia car park. It is quite a strenuous walk with luggage, and some of the streets are very steep. Younger people would have no difficulty.

Excellent location in the middle of town, short walking distance to everything. The property itself is quiet, quaint, and home-like, very relaxing and stress-free. The breakfast is simple, but this being Italy one should only judge the prima colazione based on the cappuccino, which was excellent. Urbino center is car free, so it was a bit of a hike from the parking garage to the hotel, but as we were only staying one night it wasn't too difficult. Having a covered parking in the heat of the summer is a plus.

Finding the reception was a bit difficult, as there are numerous signs that lead you to think you're at the entrance but aren't. Since it's a small town, you are hard pressed to not eventually figure it out. We had the typical issues of trying to communicate with the manager/owner who only spoke Italian (which we don't), but he definitely gets an A for effort as he really tried to explain things.

Property is great.

It’s complicated when you arrive by car and have to do the check-in outside for 5 persons with the car blocking the way.

Self-check-in was very handy and pleasant. Location is superb and the apartment with excellent view.

Could hardly be more central, but in a quiet side street. Three minutes from the main square.

It was all fine.

Very helpful staff.

Urbino has some very steep streets!
