This is a small motel at the outskirts of St. Louis. My wife and I were looking a place to spend the night while on a road trip. The Indian Mound motel was an affordable option, so we thought we'd chance it. Did not know if this will be a decent motel or a bug-infested place with gunshot holes in the wall. To our pleasant surprise, this motel was clean, comfortable, and reasonably well-furnished. If you are looking for a basic, clean, no-frills room to spend a night, there is nothing to complain about at the Indian Mound Motel.

My girlfriend and I came to the hotel and we were just so pleasantly surprised with the price, the redeeming, cleanliness and pleasant decor of the facility itself, and being in a safe area, despite being so close to the city and the east side of St. Louis. I swear on everything I’ve ever loved, I am not being told to say this, nor getting paid to say this. So hopefully that means something. It was like being in the country yet you could still see the St. Louis skyline. Both staff members we encountered couldn’t have been nicer and more welcoming. It is a motel so of course continental breakfast is not going to be expected but other than that we will definitely be coming back. Every chance we get! The room is small but it has its value. It's in a good location. Closed to the city of st. Louis but far away from the busiest crowd of it. The place is clean. The bed was clean with 3 pillows and I checked for stains. It was all cleared from stains and bugs which is a PLUS. No toilet yellow stains, clean tub, and enough towels. It has a microwave and a good fridge. I didn't check the TV but it has one too. A nice little table with a chair to do work, enjoy a meal, or just unwind while you enjoy a coffee or a drink. Since the smoker rooms are upstairs the smell comes down through the vent in the bathroom. You can hear the neighbors or the people upstairs as well as everything outside. Besides that everything was great.

No breakfast. Excellent location for business in downtown St. Louis, literally six minutes away. Safe neighborhood. Has all normal room amenities including large tv with cable.

Has vinyl plank floor instead of carpet which is nice but needs a wet mopping. Every shower my bare feet were filthy. But everything gave the appearance of clean. Staff was conscientious and probably one family. Room had Microwave and fridge

Great deal! Half the price of staying a few miles away in downtown St. Louis. Solid wood fence surrounds property and provides security. Clean, comfortable, and owners were very helpful. If you are looking for a clean comfortable safe basic room (bring some shampoo) in a convenient location to the Arch, this is the place. Highly recommend!

Polite Staff. Clean Room. Quiet/Peaceful. Great Rates ! Within just a few miles from any/everything you could possibly want or need ! 10 minutes (or less) to St. Louis. All around great stay ! I will only lodge here when in the area.

The staff was very pleasant and the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I will definitely stay here again if I travel through the area.

There is a busy road that runs behind the hotel. There was some noise when larger trucks went by. The blow dryer in the room worked but someone had pushed the button in ( probably should be replaced)

Price was good! Room was clean! Shower was hot and water pressure was good. Easy access to interstate.

Had we gotten off the interstate to get to the hotel the location wouldn't have seemed sketchy but we drove through town and it was kinda sketchy but once we were on the property we knew we were okay and safe.

The price was great. The staff was very nice. Close distance to downtown without having to stay in the middle of the city. Will definitely stay again next time I'm in the area.

Building is a bit older, so the floors are squeaky upstairs. Some stains on the chair & bed blanket, but I just brought my own blanket to sleep with anyway. Nothing unexpected.

The owners/staff at the hotel are so friendly and nice. Hotel is off the beaten path and hidden, but the rate and comfort of the room was perfect. Wish it was a little closer to St Louis, but that is why they are inexpensive.
