I like converted buildings, spacious common areas, soaring ceilings and unique guest rooms. Ryan the manager on duty, was excellent. Every request I had he was able to assist me. Baseball tickets, dining options, extended stay. The staff were attentive and most courteous.

The room was fine but the elevators could have been cleaned as well as the snack bar/gift shop. I realize these are high traffic areas but extra attention would have made a difference.

The hotel had historic charm and was clean and tastefully decorated. It has much more character than surrounding hotels as at comparable price. Also very close to the Arch National Park, which was great for morning walks. Staff was always very friendly and accommodating. Would stay here again.

Downtown St. Louis was very empty. If walking, especially at night, be alert or go by car (but this has nothing to do with this hotel specifically, would be the same for any hotel in the area)

I traveled here with my 7 month old son for a weekend trip. We arrived 2 hours early after a pretty long car ride.. upon seeing that it was just me and my baby, the hotel receptionist(sadly, I did not catch his name) immediately requested that someone clean my room next so we could get checked in. He was extremely friendly, went out of his way to try to occupy and entertain my son, periodically checked on us every time we came in and out of the lobby. Just very personable. Key cards are required to access elevators so that provided extra comfort. The restaurant/bar and lobby was absolutely beautiful. Very clean and maintained. I don't think I used the hotel's parking garage(bad at finding them) but I ended up parking at a "Quik Park" across the street for $21, I was told hotel parking was $38. The room was perfectly set up, very nice!!! We really enjoyed our stay and will come back again.

Everything was perfect.

The room size was great. The breakfast, we used the buffet and the food wasn’t the best. Luckily, there was huge bowls of cereal for the kids!

The vent in the bedroom came straight down on you and you couldn’t adjust it unless you simply turned it off. The view was a parking garage. Which is ok. We had to let the front desk know we were diamond members at check in. They did bring us extra bedding upon request in a timely manner!

The location was perfect for our first visit to St. LOUIS. We had easy access to the metro- close to the Arch and Busch stadium. Your cleaning staff is exceptional! They provided us extra coffee and creamer upon request and very friendly!

I did not like that there was not any water bottle filling stations in the hotel. Having water bottle filling stations will help reduce plastic waste.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was excellent. Only three blocks from the ballpark and the arch. Room was large and included all amenities, comfortable and clean. Old world charm, brick building with historical flair, the lobby was exquisite with art deco furniture, lighting and a cool bar. Music was classic.

There were two extra charges that Hilton is hiding from this and other sites visited. Parking and breakfast are both pretty steep, and add-ons. We also had to change rooms, as the keys didn't work... after unpacking and relaxing. NOT great after 400-miles driving. Mixed bag.

Hotel is located a short walk from the arch. The street itself is not very pleasant with some buildings vacant and waiting to be updated. Especially it felt a bit sketchy at night. But the walk to the park is short. The staff was very helpful starting from the valet that quickly and accurately explained the parking options to check-in to breakfast to check-out. There was live music in the lobby in the evening we found pleasant. We even have a bit of a view of the river :)

Breakfast buffet was great, along with the service. We had two vehicles in tge valet parking overnight. We had no issues retrieving the vehicles in a timely manner.

There was no ice in the ice machine. We don't know if it was broken, or if all the ice was used.

there was an electrical outlet by the TV that was broken Informed staff 2 times but was not fixed during our stay

Our room at The Pennywell was clean and spacious. Breakfast was delicious.

The A/C in the room struggled to keep the room cool during the day. The outside temperature was in the mid 70's to 80 degrees.
