On a long trip through Peru and Argentina, it was great to have an at home like experience. Big comfortable house with beautiful roof terrace with sunny views of at least two volcanos. Breakfast served up there, coffee, fresh fruit, rolls, eggs. Lobby has a big table and a living alcove with lots of books to enjoy. Soft drinks, beer, wine available along with hot water for tea. Laundry service. Quiet for sleeping. Just ask staff for anything. They are available during the day and evening. Great security as everyone must buzzed in. Affluent neighborhood, safe 15 min walk or 5 min taxi to center. Host, Eddy speaks excellent English and is knowledgeable and friendly. Most guests are from Europe.

For a long stay, more variety at breakfast. There are several quality places to eat nearby, but you may need to go back to centro for dinner.

I was surprised to find that this hotel is right in the middle of a neighborhood on a busy street and not set apart. The closed windows did a good job keeping the traffic noise out. Our room was very comfortable and spacious . The manager Eddy was extremely helpful and informative. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk from the downtown area, and an easy walk back from downtown as it’s slightly downhill. If you get in later and you want a place to eat, there is a very nice restaurant just around the corner. There is no elevator, but Eddie kindly carried our bags upstairs. Breakfast is served to you and it includes eggs, fruit and bread. They have a nice room on the top of the building.

The heavy traffic on our street. If I were to leave the windows open, the fumes from the cars would definitely bother me.

Very helpful staff, stunning hotel, you can see Misti volcano from the terrace while enjoying your breakfast. Loved the decorations and vintage furniture. Breakfast is absolutely delicious, and hot tea is available during whole day.

It's a bit misleading by saying it's in historical center, while it's in Vallecito, but the walk is not more than 20 minutes - not a big deal for me but maybe for someone else. Honorable mention (not connected to a hotel) traffic jams in the city are insane, if you're planning to go from Colca to Arequipa airport by bus, add extra 2-3 hours to google estimated time for unexpected situations on the road

The owner Eddy was absolutely fantastic, and incredibly attentive to his guests. You can ask him specifically, or just talk loosely. The whole building is in colonial style and has big beautiful rooms with comfortable beds, plenty of hot water in the shower, strong wi-fi and Netflix. The rich breakfast is served in a beautiful room on the roof terrace with the most beautiful view of volcanoes. The staff are friendly and smiling and do their job well. The place is located in a safe neighborhood with a short walk to the center. Casa Arequipa gets our very best recommendations

Beautiful house either way great style. Amazing green garden, and great terrace with view on the volcano! The house is situated in a green, safe snd calm neighborhood. The rooms are beautiful, big, with comfortable beds and a nice shower. Steady, hot water. The room also offers a minibar and a hairdryer. Both things we sometimes missed in Peru. In the lobby downstairs are always trays with hot water and tea and the delicious breakfast is served on the terrace. The best thing about Casa Arequipa is the wonderful team running the house. The bed was INCREDIBLY comfortable. Hot water plentiful. The decor elegant and serene. Great view of snowcapped mountains from the breakfast room. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and restaurants. Location in beautiful neighborhood, 10 minute walk to central plaza. Excellent restaurants and coffee shops within minutes. A grand hotel.

Breakfast is excellent but could be varied slightly day to day.

We loved our stay at Casa Arequipa. The house has so much style and our room (the Library room) was wonderfully furnished. The host and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was lovely and served in an enclosed area on the rooftop terrace from where we enjoyed the splendid view of the volcanoes. There is complementary tea and hot water in the communal area for the guests to enjoy. There is also a reasonably priced laundry service available.

I selected this hotel based on the many positive reviews on Booking.com and it didn't disappoint. Casa Arequipa is a beautiful and unique boutique hotel, a few minutes by foot away from the noise and traffic of the Plaza de Armas (great for a good night's sleep). But what really made my stay exceptional was Eddy, who has been nothing but kind and helpful - there wasn't a single thing I couldn't ask him. Thank you! His warmth, also shown by everyone else working at Casa Arequipa, made me feel very comfortable there. I can highly recommend this hotel to any traveller.

There are so many things to love about this place - the rooms are spacious and super clean, the bed was so big and comfortable, the colonial style of the hotel, the rooftop views while having a great breakfast, and finally the staff which were all so kind and helpful with literally everything!

We had some trouble with hot water but this was quickly fixed.

The hotel is located in a very beautiful colonial house. It was very clean, comfortable and quiet We got a very spacious private room with private bathroom that was perfect. The bathroom had hot water which was perfect after a day of travelling. We had breakfast (which was very good) on the rooftop with a beautiful view . Eddy (the manager) was very helpful. He booked for us a 2 days trek to colca canyon from Arequipa with transfer to Puno. He also helped us to get back our lost luggages. Absolutely to try
