Amazing hotel, definitely the best "bang for the buck" in Arequipa. Reminds me of old Cataratas in Foz do Iguaçu before the Belmond purchase: a distinguished hotel, a bit off the main area, with history, colonial décor, spacious rooms and a pink palette. Amazing beds, amazing bathroom and very courteous staff. The restaurant was also really good, and the alpacas roaming the backyard were a nice touch. We had only one (not so minor) inconvenience when at 3:00am another guest decided to take phone calls at the corridor just out of our room with his ringtone set to loud. However, hotel management dealt with the situation admirably and I have no further complaints about it.

Location could be better as it is a little bit far from the Plaza de Armas and the hotel's immediate surroundings don't strike the guest as very safe for walking -- neither in the sense of criminality nor pedestrian safety at crossings. Beware of rooms with no AC. If missing, hotel with change rooms upon request though. P.S.: about the town (not the hotel), please note that there's really not so much to do in Arequipa if you're not into trekking. So the hotel really was the best thing about our visit, together with the cuy at Zingaro in Calle San Francisco.

The hotel itself was really lovely, beautiful, comfortable communal rooms to relax and suites to sleep with extremely comfortable beds and bedding, great food, fantastic grounds to enjoy and relax with a giant tortoise and alpaca, and a play area for the kids and helpful staff.

The pool was very cold to use in April except for a very quick dip to cool off. But the pool itself, jacuzzi and area around the pool is lovely to enjoy. The walk into the centre of Arequipa isn’t the safest with a very busy road to cross.

The bed was comfortable, and although the rooms are not soundproof, the hotel is surrounded by a large park, so it is relatively quiet. The decoration of the hotel is very tasteful, and for being an older property, it is well maintained. A special mention to the staff: they made it a truly unique and enjoyable experience. When we had a problem with the water in the bathroom, they promptly sent a person to fix it. When we asked to change the shampoo and soap devices, they did it as soon as possible. We asked for extra complimentary bottled water and they provided that. We wanted to use the jacuzzi of the hotel, but because of maintenance, they offered us to use the jacuzzi in a suite. Due to a delay with the availability of the suite, they offered complimentary room service and let us stay as much as we wanted in that suite.

The main pool is cold and the small one is warm at best. Aside from that, everything was perfect.

Very comfortable 5-star hotel. The room was spacious and the king-size bed very comfortable. Location is good, if you don't walking several blocks to reach the main attractions. Breakfast was excellent, with some GF and DF options. And the staff was very helpful. A plus is the large and secure parking lot.

The menu at the restaurant has the typical choices of a 5-star hotel. Overly sophisticated, but with few options, all rather expensive. Not good if you have sensitivities problems. Try to dine at the bar if you want some sandwiches options. There are several better restaurants downtown.

Lovely facilities and very friendly and helpful staff. Very good restaurant for breakfast and dinner.

Our room was spacious but had an interconnected door with the next room, which had a young family of four. Unfortunately they were very noisy at nighttime. Should not place couples in a room with a non-soundproof door next to a family. Also the water pressure was too low.

Lovely hotel in a quiet location 15 mins walk into the centre. Lovely pool and grounds it's a bit cold in pool but had a good swim. Grounds are gorgeous and the resident Galapagos Tortoise and Llamas make a interesting addition. The room was super comfortable with a fab bed. The great thing are all the staff every single one speaks to you and smiles such very nice people.

Reception very helpful (Fiorella) was very understanding with my needs, bell boys were helpful and attentive, Breakfast was good and prepared good eggs for me, good internet, nice room looking to gardens and I can hear birds from it, good grounds which I took an joyful stroll. Nice pool. I really like this hotel.

It's a little far from the Colonial Centre, but you can take.a taxi or walk. If your room is facing the street can be noisy and dusty. Working tables in waiting room which can be noisy.

We loved the staff, food, room the hotel was lovely. The pool area is pretty, grounds are beautiful, small hiking trail to walk daily. Alpaca on property and Juanita a 120 yr old tortoise. Playground for kids. Hot tub

Beautiful hotel, with amazing gardens, an excellent restaurant, spacious rooms, comfy beds and pillows, well-trained staff, and delicious breakfast, and at walking distance from the historical center and the mundo alpaca to buy alpaca-made clothes.

The room was a bit dark, especially where the wooden table was located.

Had an adjoining room .. hotel guests in room next to mine continuous loud chatter .. got to the point I had to wear earplugs the entire time I was in my room .. they started at 6am until 11pm .. so annoying.. it ruined my stay
