Attentive staff and really good breakfast

Great location just over the way from the Long Walk, a lovely stroll in to town. The hotel was spotless and every one of the staff were a credit to the place. The weather was very warm so the air con was a Godsend. It was our 40th wedding anniversary and the management had left a bottle of fizz c/w ice bucket and glasses in our room. A lovely touch. We enjoyed a very tasty breakfast each morning, and although we ate out in town, we noticed that the restaurant was very popular. We drank in the bar which is very comfortable, special mention to the young barman who was a very courteous young man, Nothing to dislike, we had a wonderful 3 night stay. Tip:-We have a large vehicle so we struggled a bit with the car park but we had been forewarned by the hotel.

Nice, clean space, set in a nice period house. Having a car park is a massive plus and the staff are very nice and accommodating. They let me park the car early and leave it there for hours after check out. A complimentary welcome drink was a nice gesture. All in all it was a lovely experience. I would definitely stay again.

The hotel is a 15 minute walk to the historic centre, where the public car parks are. There's nowhere to park your car near the hotel, so if the hotel car park has no availability beware you'll have to make suitable arrangements to reach the hotel with your luggage, etc. I thought at breakfast there could be fresh fruit available.

The location is SO convenient for visiting Windsor , close to the castle and town ctr, you really don’t need a car. The Decor was great and reflected the history of the property well. The rooms were comfortable and beds superb. The breakfast and dinner menu is outstanding. Lastly, but not least we have to pay exceptional rating for the truly amazing staff, they are so friendly, welcoming and helpful beyond our expectation, while still maintaining a professional approach. We just had the most wonderful weekend, and hope to return before too long.

This is not a criticism, but you really do need to book your parking space when making your room reservation, as spaces are very limited. There are car parks available at a short walking distance, however this may not be suitable for some.

Lovely staff and breakfast was great. Free drink on arrival was very nice. Parking was easy enough too. Very easy to get to and the location is great for going into Windsor itself.

Could have done with being a little cleaner, stairs needed a hoover and there were crumbs on the chair at breakfast and when we had our drink in the bar. I do have OCD though so prob nobody else would notice it! Not sure our room was a king-size which is what we paid for, when I asked which rooms were king-size the staff were not sure? They knew the rooms in the annex were and then when I said our room number they were not convincing me that it was a king size. Think the parking should be included in the price though.

The hotel was in an ideal location only a few steps away from the long walk in Windsor great park and only ten minutes walk from the castle and windsor town centre. The staff were extremely friendly and couldn't do enough to help. The bar was well stocked and reasonably priced . Breakfast was plentiful , tasty with lots to choose. from and meals in the restaurant were tasty and good value for money. There was also on site parking, which was a bonus.

The only criticism I had of my stay was that there was a constant whirring noise coming from somewhere during the night which did disturb mine and my wife's sleep possibly caused by the air conditioning in another room. I did mention it to the receptionist who apologised and said she would look into it.

I felt at ease as a solo woman traveller., staying just one night. Newspapers available for all residents to take to their room if wanted. Bottled water in the room, very useful in hot weather and the receptionist offered me another bottle when I left. Receptionist invited me to leave my trolley suitcase after I checked out because I was meeting my family for a tour of the Castle and I was able to pick it up at about 3 pm, could have been later if necessary. I had a light bar meal in the evening because I had had a large buffet lunch at the event I was attending and there was no pressure to have a proper dinner. Good full English breakfast. Wonderful location, about 10 minutes on foot from the Castle and the Windsor Central Station, and with the Long Walk directly opposite for evening strolls. Gurkhas (?) on horseback passed by early morning. The hotel has a very pretty front garden with tables, lit up at night. Room very clean and with good toiletries, tea and coffee and biscuits. A few books available in the reception area. Incidentally, I stayed here last year, in the same room, and would happily return. Staff cheerful and friendly, and gave me help with carrying my luggage upstairs. A very attractive old building, beautifully decorated indoors.

No lift but this is a very old building and it is probably impossible to install one. I think there are rooms on the ground floor.

Very helpful and professional staff. From the reception to the Batman. Possibility to park the car for 20 pounds (tight and limited space but it exists!). Very nice to walk up to Windsor center (10-15 mn flat ) through the amazing long walk path with great views on the castle. Air condition was efficient.

Breakfast was a disgrace while I chose this hotel for the « fabulous breakfast «  mark in booking Possibility to choose only 1 « hot meal «  prepared by the chef, we were badly surprised as we weee ready for 2 each. By the way it was excellent meals with eggs. And the « buffet » was only yaourt in a pot, cereals and small croissants. At 9am no yaourt and no croissant and they were never refilled. The property is a bit tired.

Overall breakfast met all expectations, it was served beautifully and the food met everyone's needs. The staff was the icing on the cake. It couldn't have been any better. This is the perfect setting to have a traditional breakfast in a Royal Town, it was relaxed with calming piano music which set the tone, for the start of a new day. Overall this very special hotel met all of our needs, we could not have asked for anymore. The rooms were beautiful, classy and elegant. The staff now feel like a extended family, it felt like we were coming home to home. We always will return to this hotel, with no hesitation. It always will hold a very special place in our hearts. There was completely nothing we did not like.

Lovely hotel with lots of charm and character right across from The Long Walk. Location was wonderful for visiting Windsor Castle and doing some souvenir shopping, all within walking distance. Room was small but clean and nicely decorated. Bathroom was a little snug but clean and everything worked. Lots of hot water and good water pressure. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Voucher for welcome drink provided upon check-in was a very nice touch. Breakfast included which was very good (a few different choices including 'Full English') and makes this hotel great value!!

Really the only thing I didn't like was the lack of an elevator. No problem climbing stairs myself but just awkward when carrying a suitcase. I should have requested a lower floor when booking. I'm quite sure one of the staff would have helped with my suitcase if I had asked but I tend to be too independent which is my own fault.
