Our stay at Gasthaus Sissi was absolutely wonderful and exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we arrived, we were charmed by the warm and inviting atmosphere. Our room was not only spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable, but it also offered breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. The attention to detail throughout the guesthouse, from the cozy decor to the thoughtful amenities, truly made us feel at home. The breakfast spread each morning was a highlight – a delicious array of fresh, local products that fueled us perfectly for our day's adventures. What truly sets Gasthaus Sissi apart, however, is the exceptional hospitality of the hosts. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, offering fantastic local recommendations and making us feel like valued guests, not just customers. The location in Garmisch-Partenkirchen is ideal for exploring, with easy access to hiking trails and charming town centers. We left feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and already planning our next visit. Highly, highly recommend!

There was not enough time to stay longer...

A very clean and neat property. We were a family of 4 with 2 young children and the Maisonette Suite was very comfortable for us. There is an internal staircase to a loft for the main bed, there were baby gates at the top and bottom. Note the stairs are not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. The breakfast we had was fantastic! A great variety and very well presented. The grounds of the hotel has a little playground and plenty of space for kids to run around. This leads to a wonderful view of the lake and mountains were there is a jetty with a lovely deck you can sit on and swim from in the warmer months. Location wise it was a very short drive the ferry in Gstadt and also about 10 minutes from Prien. We loved our stay here and will definitely be back.

The hotel is just at the side of the Chiemsee lake, the view, the location, the park are fantastic. You get this feeling of a classy hotel in magnificent surroundings. It has a private swimming house on a pierce, where you can change and just enjoy the lake. Breakfast -esthetic and meeting every expectation. We were sad to leave, will definitely stay there again. Comfy beds, soundproof walls, very welcoming staff.

Quite close to a road as background noise - but nothing major (so try to get a lake-facing room which will be quieter). Curtains let is some light which won’t bother most people - buy I’m a bit light sensitive! Hotel could benefit from a proper sign from the road - it’s hard to find and nothing to indicate it’s a hotel from the outside

A lake view room was given without additional charges. A big green field scenery right in front of my room. The view extended all the way to the lake side. Big room with separated bath room also with the great lake view window. The breakfast is super with plenty of selections. Outdoor tables are facing the beautiful lake. Big free car park space that property was easy to locate. Also free water-biking at the lake can be borrowed from the property (too bad I have no time to try). Very helpful & friendly from desk staff that full filled all my needs.

No elevator, so is a big of work if you are having heavy luggage. However, the stair way is considered wide.

The grounds and the lake by the hotel are truly outstanding.

I have one ( relatively minor) complaint. Pillow: there was only one pillow and stuffed with artificial fibre. This hotel could and indeed should do better than one cheap pillow.

Loved the wide range of sports facilities, the great location, and that pets are welcome!

I didn’t like that it wasn’t possible to order a warm snack, lunch, or dinner on the spot — meals had to be ordered at least a day in advance.

Absolutely wonderful Hotel. We could not have asked for any more. Beautiful, quiet location directly on the Cheimsee with lovely gardens. Incredibly warm and friendly staff. Superb breakfast. Extremely comfortable room with lovely view. Lovely little boat house to allow you to go rowing on the lake, plus a fabulous little sun deck out on a jetty by the water. The beautiful 150 year old, traditional Bavarian building just added to the charm. Only 35 mins drive into the mountains for walks and direct on the round the lake bike track. Can't wait to stay there again.

Everything was great! The big garden is wonderfull - lots of birds, ducks and geese who walk in a flock on the grass and go down to the lake ! The room was perfect and breakfast is the best!!!

The hotel is a great package in itself - amazing service, very pleasant and helpful personnel, good selection of breakfast, the location is superb as it was positioned with a beautiful view and landscaped well. The effort to give their guests a great experience is felt in every corner. Thumbs up to the management and staff.

Its not that it was not liked but we wish there would have been a room downstairs or an elevator to cater elderly specially those who have difficulty in climbing the stairs.
