We travel several weeks a year in Italy and often seek out the wonderful medieval hill towns. When visiting those, there is always a decision to be made. Do you stay farther out in a larger more modern facility (or agricultura - farm stay), or do you stay inside the wall, which is always in a centuries old and charming historic property so thus has size and amenity limitations? We do both quite often. But it is great to be able to just walk out the door and be in the heart of the medieval old town - morning and nights and all day long while being able to take breaks in the room. We took a taxi that had permission to enter the restricted area that dropped us right at the hotel door with our bags and we stayed 3 nights. We had the larger "comfort" room (or Superior, which is the same size) and there was plenty of room to open and store on the floor two suitcases - very clean and comfortable. The staff was great at helping us with advice for traveling in the area. Nice breakfast. Great coffee. This is by far the best hotel inside the walls of fantastic Gubbio. It is right next to the Grand Plaza - the best location in town.

All is well.

1) the hotel is located near most of the main attraction in town; 2) our room had a terrace overlooking the town and surrounding countryside; 3) the staff was friendly, professional, and informative; 4) the breakfast offerings were generous; 5) the hotel has an elevator; 6) our room was very quiet.

1) parking is far from the hotel but the town has a free public minibus that circles the town every 15 minutes and stops near Bosone Palace; 2) the hotel should tell customers about the minibus before they travel to the hotel; the receptionist at the hotel told us about the minibus after we had walked from the parking lot to the hotel.

The hotel was in a great location, close to the main square and important sites of interest. The room was comfortable and a good size. Breakfast was a highlight with a large choose of food to cater to all tastes. The staff were polite and helpful with suggestions and happily booked a taxi for an arranged time at the end of my stay.

The room was close to the restaurant and there was a bit of noise at night from patrons. Although the bed was comfortable and a double was requested, there wasn't much room to move along the sides of it.

The property is beautiful and old world. You can almost imagine it as an active palace from many years ago. It has been beautifully restored. Room was small but comfortable. Breakfast was excellent.

Shower was difficult to operate, instructions would help. some construction noise outside hotel.

The location is perfect and the view from the room phenomenal. Hotel is easy to reach by car and friendly staff very helpful in explaining options for free parking.

Breakfast was OK, but there was only very little of everything and scrambled eggs were rather dry. I attribute this to the hotel only having a few guests.

Gubbio turned out to be our favorite of all the hill towns, and Bosone Palace is a delightful place to spend our nights. The staff was very helpful, the room had a beautiful view over the garden, and the breakfast was terrific. We ended up staying longer because it was just such a pleasant place to be. As for driving, it is a little challenging driving in to drop off bags, but manageable. In retrospect I think I would have gone straight to the parking lot at the funicular (ask the hotel first where to park there.) It's a short walk to the hotel.

Staff were lovely. Rooms confortable. Restaurant excellent.

Town clock ringing every quarter hour. After 2 nights I’d got used to it however.

Beautiful hotel in the best location in Gubbio. The decor is plush and lovely and the staff couldn’t have been nicer, more friendly or more professional. The very helpful lady on reception allowed us to leave our bags and check-in early at 12.00pm because our room was ready.

Small bathroom but very clean and everything worked well.

Rooms a little dated, no tea/coffee facilities in room, no view

Staff, common area sitting room, location, impeccably clean. Comfortable bedding.

The breakfast was decent, however, the quality of the meats (ham, bacon and salami) and variety of cheeses needs improvement. Too many sweets. Also the bar has a very limited selection of alcohols. The wine I was served was from an older bottle that was stored too long. Of course they replaced the wine by opening a new one! There was no ice for the bar.
