Very clean quiet hotel with friendly staff in a good central location. Buffet breakfast is excellent. Local produce with lots to choose from :the cheese,Breton cake and freshly squeezed orange juice is very good. As a tea addict I was impressed at the choice especially the Ceylon. Can even cook bacon and eggs if one wants a reminder of an English breakfast. Will definitely stay at this hotel again - good value for money.

A small friendly hotel which was excellent value for money. Clean, comfortable and easy and cheap to park in the public car park immediately behind. Friendly and helpful staff with a good value breakfast at €12 each. We also loved the robot waiter! Perfect for an overnight stay before catching the ferry home. If you have time the Cite De La Mer is a 10 minute walk and worth a visit!

The soundproofing between rooms was very poor and if you have a noisy neighbour you will definitely hear them!

The room was fantastic, beautiful and fabulous views. Decor and cleanliness was exceptional. Would have liked a bottle of water like a lot of hotels leave but not a big issue. Staff on reception were lovely and friendly.

The parking behind the hotel is extortionate. Only free between 5pm and 9am...hard to find free parking that doesn't involve a walk which is a pain when carrying luggage. More info on free parking would be good. Avoid the rear carpark unless you dont mind being ripped off, it's not exactly clear what the charges are and we ended up paying 20 euros for just two hours.... Shame on whoever runs the carpark!

I cannot recall a single item to complain about. Bed was comfortable. Water pressure was strong. Facilities were spotless. Staff were busy, but helpful. Unusually, pots of Tea were available, which is a delight.

Nothing really. The Toilet roll holders were cumbersome, if that's really a complaint. One dry drain trap in our room, but smell went after a short flow of water. Really nothing to complain about.

The Ambassadeur Hotel was exactly what was advertised. It is perfectly situated for our one night stay before getting the ferry back to Ireland. Breakfast buffet was a perfect. I recommend this hotel.

The information we received about overnight parking could have been more clear. We worried about being clamped and decided to move the car before breakfast just in case.

The room was superb, tastefully decorated and immaculately clean, as was the shower room, which was provided with quality towels and very nice toiletries. The lift was most welcome for someone with a knee problem, as was the free parking behind the hotel. The location was ideal for exploring the town centre and the port.

Can't think of anything that could have been better.

This hotel is perfectly located in Cherbourg. A 12 minute walk from the train station, right beside the seafront and close to all the lovely shops and restaurants in Cherbourg. Staff are really nice and helpful. We couldn't find anything to fault the hotel for. Cherbourg is a lovely place to visit and this hotel is perfect for exploring.

Very stylish, well located by the marina and the town centre, staff were very helpful and friendly. There was a robot collecting dishes in the restaurant! Kettle in the room was appreciated. We slept very well and had nice views in the room to the marina

The floor of the room was very squeaky. No car park although one was nearby.

Staff were really welcoming and helpful, and answered all my questions and gave some helpful advice. The room was pretty quiet for a fully booked hotel, the bed was comfortable and the room had everything I needed. It was very well located for the train station, (only a 10min walk away and easy to find). Outside was quiet and you couldnt hear traffic. All in all a comfy and reasonably priced stay.

The room did not look over a courtyard, but it was Monday and the road was quiet so it wasnt a problem.The bathroom was slightly strangely set up (the shower and sink is open to the main room, and the toilet was in a separate room). It wasn't an issue, it was just a bit unusual.

Nice location, friendly staff and free parking after hours nearby. Parking costs during the day are reasonable. Very clean and neat.

Hotel was great , only difficult we had was a new bus lane system, which can make getting to the hotel challenging by car with one way streets if coming from Octeville side. Google will keep trying to send you down roads which are no longer available.
