This is a nice hotel very conveniently located five minutes walking distance from the University, where I had to go early in the morning (this was the main reason for my booking), as well as very close to the Kunstareal, the Old town and the railway station. I got a comfortable double-room accessible by elevator with a spacious bathroom and all necessary facilities. Finding the hotel and checking in and out was easy and the staff are nice. The breakfast was fine.

There was not enough light in the room. There was no hook to hang up my overcoat near the door. The most conveniently located electric socket did not work. The shower is constructed in such a way that the water spills out on the floor, and the water in the sink does not go away quickly enough. It would be nice to have an electric kettle to be able to make tea. Otherwise everything was fine, no complaints.

Perfect for our overnight stay. We weren't told upon check-in but we had been given an upgrade so it was a nice surprise when we walked in our room. Room was located in a cute Courtyard separate to Main Hotel. It was amazingly quiet. We did not need to use transport as it was about a 20 min walk to Main area. Breakfast is more than adequate as included in the price. We took the bus from Main train station, took a few mins, and stop 2 mins from Hotel.

Das Hotel is a gem in Munich! There are two parts, and I stayed in the original, older part. I am told each room has its own personality and mine had sweet decorations. I even had a mini photo shoot for my jewelry in the room! The room was clean, comfortable and perfect for my stay. Breakfast was super with many different choices and all I tried was delicious. The breakfast room was light-filled and fun, with brief conversations with some other guests. Check-in was so nice, they stayed a few minutes late to welcome me, as my flight was in the evening and they have automated entry after 21:00. Internet was plenty fast. Location perfect.

No complaints

Great breakfast with fresh fruit, items replaced often, on the first day there was a delicious cake. The double bed had two covers instead of just one. The hotel is in a great neighborhood with many restaurants and bars and good access to public transport. The check-in even after closing time was straightforward.

The building was a little old and the floors made a lot of noise. The shower had a very strange configuration the flooded the entire bathroom.

It is definitely a great value-for-money place. Very quiet and family environment right in the academic/museum centre.

The only aspect to point out was the opening hours of the reception. They were a bit restrictive and required a bit of adaptation from my side both at check in and check out.

the staff was great, the receptionist who did the check-in explained everything and found a solution for our luggage problem. the room design was superb (i might buy that armchair if I find one). also, flamingos.

I would add some low key music in the breakfast room. also, we had a "situation" with a bee that entered the breakfast room. my wife is phobic so the breakfast was a little complicated. other than that I will probably re-reserve in the future!

Property has parking available for 20€ per night, this is a big advantage because parking in Munich is expensive and complicated. Parking spot should be reserved ahead. Stuff is very nice, we arrived a bit earlier than check-in time and they allowed us to park, also there's coffee and tea available all the time, complimentary water in the room.

Great value and a large, clean room. Lots of restaurants, pubs and groceries within 200 metres. The whole area felt very safe and there was no noise at night .A pleasant 20 minute walk into central Munich

Reception was closed, despite the sign saying it should be open at that time. Not the end of the world, but after a difficult journey to get there you just want to get to your room

Location was perfect, in the middle of university area, with lots of bars and restaurants, and 10 min away from the city center by foot. Big rooms, not charming furniture but good enough for three days in Munich with friends. Breakfast was also good.

In one of the two rooms there was no hot water, probably a specific issue that we raised with the reception on the last day.

Excellent hotel just outside the heart of Munich. We found it easy to travel to and from the hotel by either walking or taking public transport to any part of the City. The size of the room was very large for hotels in this area and the services in the hotel was excellent.

The hotel can do with air-conditioning or a fan for the warmer days
