Location. Free parking. Responsive. Clean rooms. Excellent Wi-Fi.

The room had a bad smell from unused drains when we arrived and had to call someone to sort it out. They were very responsive and solved the problem. It of course was very hot and I assumed the room had not been used until the drains needed flushing. Once resolved, no issues. I did try to get back to reception at 1145 before checkout time as I had gone for a walk but the front doors were locked. Thank goodness, I had not left my things inside in reception and had put them in the car instead otherwise I would’ve been very stuck.

Campanile is primarily a business hotel however our holiday stay was perfect. Very close to the Chateau and an easy walk into town provided opportunity to satisfy our desire for 'proper' french food (no burgers, fries or pizza for us). Our room was clean, modern and equipped with everything needed; including aircon, a must when it is pushing 40c outside. Secure on-site parking is available, some of it under cover.

Reception is not manned between 1200 and 1700 even though checking is stated as from 1600. We were directed to use the automatic checkin machine outside the front door. Unfortunately neither us nor another couple were able to get the machine to provide access.

many things, first the STAFF members, very professional and kind! The room and hotel were so CLEAN. PARKING, not only easy but free. LOCATION is just perfect for the Chateau and town and an easy drive to forest and Barbizon, but most important for us, hop on the bus, to the train and we were in Paris. BREAKFAST was solid. Finally, all of this together, for me, equals so much VALUE. Fontainebleau is a great way into Paris if you are driving through France and I will stay at this hotel both on my way in and out. Again I want to mention the staff, I wish I had the names of one or two in particular.

For the price I can't think of anything. I like salmon at breakfast, but again... the breakfast spread is quality and very nice relaxed atmosphere.

Great location nearly across the street from the Chateau. The hotel was a bit basic, but comfortable and clean with very convenient free and secure on-site parking, with underground lot for overflows. It's a bit longer walk to the downtown restaurants, etc., but not a problem. The front desk is not staffed at mid-day, but that wasn't an issue for us and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful otherwise.

The room was a bit small but not at all unusual for European hotels.

'First world problems' - we were there during the heatwave and it was unbearably hot. I suspect the A/C is controlled by the hotel as it was impossible to adjust and neither of us slept for 2 nights, despite asking Reception to help. The morning staff were helpful but the chap there in the evenings could benefit from some lessons in how to make people feel welcome.

The breakfast was good.Only one coffee machine was insufficient when there were lots of people waiting.

There is a need for proper mugs or good size cups in the rooms.The paper cups provided leaked and were hopeless for hot drinks. The two young receptionists, who had to multi task, were amazing.They worked very hard, especially Sagitta.Thomas was good, too.They should have more help at breakfast time.

The location was perfect for walking to Chateau Fountainbleu and the downtown area. The space of the room was good with the kitchenette and a nice size bathroom.

I was confused about the check-in as I read the email to state that the check-in was only open from 2p-5p when in actuality that is the only time that it is closed. I tried to use the self-check-in but, it would not accept credit cards so, this meant that we couldn't check-in when we first arrived. We walked in to town and it was fine but, just a note to anyone coming that you want to be there before 2 or after 5 for check-in.

We really liked the concept of a self-check in and check-out, where we could just arrive anytime after a given time and the room was ready for us. After a long trip, we appreciated the hustle-free approach. The room was clean, had everything in it what might be needed. The hotel has a spacious free parking, and is located in literally 2min walking distrance from the center.

Very well located hotel. This was just a short 1 night stopover for us and the hotel had everything we expected: easy parking, dog friendly, short walk from town and the castle. Nothing was memorable in the stay but this place is 10/10 for convenience and practicality. We didn't bother with breakfast as Fontainebleau has plenty of cute cafés and bakeries.

Nothing particularly special or memorable in the stay. Just a very good stopover hotel.

We arrived very late in heavy rain. The receptionist was fabulous. Underground parking with access to the hotel. Bed was super comfortable. New hotel right next to the chateau. What a great breakfast. Another place that we will 100% going back to and going to stay at the Campanile. Only €14,50 to visit the outstanding Fontainebleau Chateau.

What a heartbreaker to leave, can’t wait to go back.
