Everything was almost perfect; I think the position of this hotel is absolutely gorgeous and we stayed in Milano in so many different locations, but this one is our number 1 !!! Fantastic staff, Grazie mille a voi 🙏 Room was big, new furniture with slippers for all of us, bath towels and everything that you need. Restaurants/Pizzerias everywhere.

They should split the old side of hotel in a 3* and this new one in a 4*; we stayed in the STANDARD room too and should be more cheaper than the new/renovate side. So, take the SUPERIOR room if available, because worth every cent !

Excellent value for money it seems. Location is very convenient, close to the metro station. Check-in is available 24hours a day. Has working fridge in the room. My room had bidet.

Everything feels worn out. The A/C works inconsistently, so it randomly gets hot during the day or night. WiFi is slow and inconsistent. The shower cabin is tiny and only has a fixed overhead shower—no handheld or adjustable option. Also, out of my 3-night stay, breakfast was decent only once. The other times, most of the food was gone by 9am.

The staff is very helpful and friendly. I wish I could give them 11 out of 10! Kudos especially to the manager on duty (Mikael), to Martina, Malik at the front desk—I forgot the names of the others—-Lucio and Viola at the bar and breakfast area, Samba the guard (yes this hotel has a guard on duty by the entrance), who made my stay very comfortable. This is one of the best hotel staff I have ever encountered.

This is a nice hotel just outside the city of Milan. The walk to the Metro (Sesto Marelli) from the hotel is 10 minutes. In the morning, I considered my walk to the metro as warm-up to all the walking i did. Admittedly, walking back to the hotel at the end of a busy day was less enjoyable. BUT, Mikael and Martina pointed out a great benefit from staying at this hotel: it is super-easy to go to Lake Como from the hotel.

Staff was great, very friendly ! Room was big. Our car was “sleeping” in a very good parking garage, underground. Position was more than perfect, just a 5 minutes walk from St Marelli Metro station; and from there in 15 minutes we were at Duomo.

This hotel has 2 sides : - one that is old, with a big room, BUT old furniture and a BIG problem with shower cabin, which was extremely small and we are only 1,70 m and 65 kg !!! Luckily it was a bidet too. and - another one which is a really 4* establishment/room.

So far, so good. Everything is exceptional, especially the very friendly and attentive front office staff at the reception, which makes your stay at IH Hotel even more comfortable. My room is nicely soundproofed and very quiet. It’s light and spacious with various modes of illumination. The IH Hotel is located within a 5-minute walk from the metro station and also has a spacious parking lot. The hotel has a private territory and is located in a calm area along a quiet street. Although I haven’t tried the breakfast yet, my expectations are really high based on the previous positive aspects.

Everything at iH Hotel St. John was above expectations. I have been using Booking.com since 15 years now, but the hospitality at this hotel was really amazing very particular. Very polity and super helpful staff, very young but long experienced and professionals, specially at the reception desk (front desk). They approved and agreed for everything we needed. A room upgrade at a large suite was a gesture of good willing showed by this amazing staff. The building was recently renovated the room was super clean, spacious, and fully equipped. The breakfast was great in every detail. The food in Italy specially the espresso coffee at the Hotel’s Bar-Restorant was typically the great famous Italian espresso. And the most important the room was very quite with a park view after o long day outside around a crowded metropolis like Milan. The Hotel was just 5-7 walking distance from the Sesto Marelli Metro Stop (Red Line 1). Just 11 subway stops from Duomo of Milan. The Hotel has it’s own excellent Bar and Restorant. But you can find amazing Coffee shops and restaurants everywhere around the Hotel.

Don’t expect a newer and more comfortable building in a Country more than 2500 year old like Italy.

Wonderful experience. Older but very well kept hotel. What makes this place is the staff ... from Michael, Malitt and Sarah at the front desk to Viola in the kitchen all excellent and extremely helpful. Hotel itself is close to Metro1, supermarkets and great restaurants. They recommended one where fixed lunch menu 3-course plus 1/2 bottle of wine 9euros. 15euros for fixed dinner menu. Excellent quality and service. As I go to Italy every year to visit family I have stayed at many hotels and this one is definitely a keeper. I will be going back again as my daughter starts school there in the fall and I will be staying here again for sure. John Podesta

Nothing not to like.

Our stay was absolutely 1st class from start to finish. Our check-in was fuss free and our room was spacious and clean, with daily cleaning and linen change. We were made to feel welcome by every member of staff, but special mention must go to Micheal in reception and Cristiano in the bar-they were both so welcoming and professional whilst also being friendly. Breakfast was excellent-our only slight criticism being that, for a country that prides itself on its coffee, it was disappointing that we had to use a machine to obtain our coffees rather than properly prepared espressos and capucunni being available. Despite this small 1 criticism (hopefully viewed as constructive), I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Nothing, other than the breakfast coffee issue noted in the review.

It was clean, good air conditioning and Wi-Fi.

The room was in the zero floor. I felt like in a bunker. The view from the window was not good. It should have even some plants… There was no toilet lid. The guy in the reception when I arrived just gave me the key and the directions to the room. Any information about Wi-Fi, breakfast and services of the hotel. The guy when I left was much more friendly. In my last day the cleaner tried to open the door twice before checkout time. She even knocked the door…she was turning the key as if the room was empty…but it was very early and I was not supposed to checkout yet.
