A very welcoming, clean and friendly family hotel. Matteo was very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The area was useful for us because we wanted to run a Milano Nord Parkrun on Saturday morning (which was a great fun!). Otherwise a little far from the city centre, but easy to reach by the metro (only 1 line, no changes). Easy to reach the Central Station, too (1 change). Plenty places to eat, supermarkets, bus stops, metro stop around. Chilled atmosphere, cosy garden (especially in the summer heat), lovely little breakfast.

if you are looking for a very central location, it's probably a little far, but as mentioned, easy to reach all sightseeing places

My stay at this hotel was great. Although it's located far from the center of Milan, there’s a metro station just 3 minutes away. The room was spacious, bright, and clean. The breakfast wasn’t very varied, but it was delicious. The room was cleaned daily, with sheets and towels changed every two days. The soundproofing isn’t the hotel’s strong point, but it didn’t bother me at all. The highlight was the owners—their warm smiles and eagerness to fulfill every request and help however they could. Exemplary hospitality. Grazie mille!

Kind welcome of Matteo, Free bottle of water in the room Gorgeous breakfast with apricot croissant, small salami sandwiches, choice of fruit and special Easter attention : 2 slices of Colomba brioche. The fact that I could keep the room until 3pm, what Matteo proposed to me spontaneously, due to the fact the hotel was not very busy during this period. Hotel is close (3 mn.walk) to Metro line 1, which goes directly to Milan downtown (15 mn) No parking, but easy parking for free in the near area Meraviglie restaurant is 6 mn. walk only and it is fantastic experience. Would be nice to have an electric kettle in the room or at least at disposal in the patio. Most hotels provide it nowadays, what is nice to prepare herbal tea that helps to sleep before going to bed ! 😉🤗

A nice hotel with character. Barely visible from the outside, it has a nice inner patio and an original layout. My room was spacious and clean; looked like it had been refurbished recently. Staff were very polite and helpful. Although the area itself is not particularly interesting, the hotel is very close to the tube, which is very convenient.

The croissant and panini were tasty, but altogether breakfast was a bit limited in terms of choice. There was no ironing service (nor iron, or ironing board) which can be inconvenient if you travel for work and have a meeting the morning after.

I can't say enough good things about Girasole and Matteo. He was so sweet and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. And my room was modern, spotless, and cleaned everyday. It was huge, by the way, with a little couch, table, and high ceilings. The garden is amazing. The area is close to a Metro stop, which makes getting around easy, even to and from the airports. It is a little outside of town, which is a plus because it was quiet and safe, but does take a little longer to get to places. The local area had plenty to explore. See if you can spot a lady who works at the cafe, pizza shop and local bar. I don't know when she sleeps. Lovely all around.

This is not a hotel. This is a family house and the owners welcome you like their family. From the moment you check-in, you never feel like you're paying them to be hospitable - the hospitality they show cannot be bought with money, it's genuine. They're the nicest hosts I've met so far. The breakfast similarly feels like eating with your family, with your uncle (or cousin) preparing it for you. With the calming (sometimes energising) background radio, the hosts chat with guests if they're open to it. Unfortunately I do not know Italian so I could not join in the conversation (hosts know English very well, but not all guests do!) The room is like a guest room in your uncle's house. It has everything you may need -- but not more. If you're going to spend time in your room, it won't be enough, but it meets basic expectations. The internet is quite fast.

The room gets a lot of noise from the street and the corridor, due to the building being old I guess. If you're very sensitive to noise you might have trouble sleeping. The view from the room is not the best - you just see the street, cars and people passing by. Personally I did not spend much time in the room and I'm not sensitive to noise so I did not mind.

Excellent stylish B&B (apparently refurbished old factory) in north of Milan, far away from the hustle but easy access through metro (station less than 500m on foot). Fantastic friendly hosts. Good breakfast. Spacious rooms.

Not so much typical for this B&B but a general experience in southern Europe is the inability to switch off the airco - as it is centrally organized. The noise of the airco made it difficult for me to fall asleep. After changing rooms this was pretty much solved.

I am actually in love with the hotel, Nicola and Matteo...Both brothers are fantastic, helpful and very friendly in nature. I loved the concept of Girasol which is very unique. The garden was nice... I loved the breakfast and the way very Italian way they serve...I loved the croissant with nutella. Rooms are specious and comfortable...The property is very near from metro station... Next time if at all i travel to Milan...my only choice is Girasol High Quality INN.

I would expect few more options in breakfast next time! Honest review....

Hosts, nicola and matteo, were very kind and liked to take care guests. Breakfast was good to start the day with fun. It was a kind of simple meal, a glasss of juice, a cup of coffee, sandwich and croissant. But it was very tasty. I and my wife asked one more croissant, one more coffee, respectively. Easy to go to city center via metro, about 5-minute walking to metro station. Good choce considering high expensive hotel in the city center.

A very clean, comfortable, and cozy hotel. In the morning, you can wake up to the delightful smell of freshly baked croissants. The croissants baked by Mattes & Nicola are the best I’ve ever had in my life. The location is very convenient, with a large supermarket nearby and many restaurants to choose from. Highly recommended!

If the weather were a bit warmer, it would be lovely to enjoy a leisurely breakfast in the garden. I spent a comfortable and pleasant three days here, and there's nothing to complain about!
