The hotel is a bit dated, but the complex itself is fantastic. The garden is perfectly maintained, its simplicity fitting perfectly, and was a delight for us every day. The location right on the beach was phenomenal. The hotel restaurant is highly recommended. The tables are right on the beach. We organized our excursions with a small local operator, so we didn't have to travel far. Our five days were too short for this amazing place. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly.

The breakfast and the interior design of the rooms are good, but could use some improvement and variety.

What a fab place . Really calm and quiet with direct access to the beach , loungers and pool on the beach pretty much . Comfy beds , basic but very quiet and great a/c. Plenty of hot water . Breakfast really tasty . Restaurant and bar on beach serving freshly bbq fish / chicken . In comparison to Uppaveli this place is a total gem for quieter tourists. Often we had the beach almost to ourselves . The sea is super clean and clear and warm . The staff were really helpful and friendly.

Maybe the rooms could be cleaned daily but that seems to be an issue country wide in Sri Lanka hotels . They were cleaned when we asked .

The staff people were absolutely careful and kind. The location is absolutely amazing. In comparison to most of the guesthouses & hotels we saw, the Hotel Coral Bay benefits from a very clean pool in front of the ocean, alongside a very quiet and clean beach with a very cosy bar. Everything is surrounded by eather grass or sand and the atmosphere is really peaceful. You can easily count on the staff to call tuk tuk/taxis & make some massage bookings for you in the surroundings. Big plus : a snorkeling & scuba diving company is located just near the beach bar and offers qualitative activities options with competent instructors. Rooms are minimalists but clean & each of them have a sea view.

The bathroom is a bit old-dated & and everyday cleaning would be a great to add.

The rooms were basic small chalets with clean, comfortable beds. The chalets overlooked the sea, with beautiful clean golden sand. They had an amazing infinity pool also. Lovely and quite. The staff went out of their way to be helpful.Food was great.

Large steps to get into room.

Staff so friendly, literally on the beach location, outstanding value for money, romantic dinner on the beach, super romantic sunrise viewable from the hotel or taken as a beach walk like we did Out of season, so beach deserted and hotel quiet. Basic standard of room, which just made it all the more amazing £40 for the night we stayed was outstanding Gorgeous warm infinity pool overlooking the beach

Perfect location, swimming pool was amazing, restaurant was fantastic. Once we asked for the room to be cleaned, it was dine really well, but you do have to ask.

No fridge in the room, and too many stray dogs roaming around - they seem to be welcomed by hotel staff, but barked regularly in the middle of the night and woke us up nightly

Beautiful beach, bar, pool, and landscaping. The gardener did the most outstanding job at keeping the property and beach in front PRISTINE. The pool was wonderful and location just fabulous. Warm and clean ocean, almost to ourselves. Loved the intimate vibe of the place. Soooo relaxing.

The place was a little dated, but I feel that was indicative of the price. What really let the place down was the food and drinks. There was an awesome little beach bar, that was barely stocked (it ran out of beer on the first afternoon and for the next two days we asked for more, and nothing changed). The food was prompt, but for the multiple times (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) we ordered there, it lacked flavour every time (thank goodness for some awesome little restaurants nearby).

We LOVED the hotel coral bay and extended our stay twice! The staff are super friendly and helpful, grounds and beach are immaculate and very clean, and the swimming pool is amazing for a refreshing dip. Location is quiet but still a close walk along the beach to a few other bars / restaurants, it’s the perfect place for a relaxing beach holiday - we highly recommend the pina coladas!

Mentioned all the facilities were there and had an amazing time while we were staying there.

We booked the room with three double beds (selected these options when booking) but they facilitated three single beds with a small room (but the size of the room we got is completely okay for a couple). Other than that It's good if there is a TV or a screen (to watch movies) inside the room and a filtered water system inside the room or outside the room (maybe a sink near the room).

Amazing location right on Nilaveli beach, a short walk away from other bars and restaurants, and activities such as snorkelling around Pigeon Island National park, and whale watching trips. Lovely pool overlooking the beach with direct access to the beach itself, and a restaurant serving food throughout the day. Rooms are simple but clean, with AC and fans included. Staff very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Bar currently only serves beers (no other alcoholic beverages were available) which is a shame for holidaymakers like us who fancy a wine or cocktail - but otherwise very well provided for!
