We booked a deluxe room with balcony - very glad we did. The hotel location is perfect, with the balcony looking out across to Trogir's old town and the marina. Best of all though was the restaurant/cafe/bar at the front of the hotel. Absolutely enchanting atmosphere, great food and drinks, and very friendly staff (especially the owner, Mico, who made us incredibly welcome). While the hotel was close enough to the old town to wander over and explore, it was lovely to come back to this oasis for dinner and a chilled out evening.

The only thing that would improve the room would be a couple of towel hooks in the bathroom, and perhaps a shelf in the (fantastic) shower for toiletries.

Room was available for check in early (12 noon). Less than 10 minute walk to centre of Trogir. Located 7min walk from where you dock on the marina.

No elevator so had to carry suitcases up two sets of stairs. No secure luggage storage room ( we had to leave our boat in the marina at 9am and asked to leave our bags in the property until our room was ready , we had to leave them in an open hallway on the first floor which didn’t feel overly secure to us , but our bags were left untouched and our room became available at an early time of 12 noon).

Location was great - a short walk into the old town along the waterfront. We were glad not to be in the heart of the tourist area. The room was very comfortable and clean. Staff around the hotel area and restaurant were friendly and welcoming.

Some trouble with online check-in. I had booked two rooms, difficult to enter information on all guests with certainty. Although my partner and I had been together for 4 years, we are still uncomfortable with see through/glass bathroom doors (room 8)..

This is my third time to Domus Maritima. I love this spot in Trogir. My favourite rooms are the deluxe doubles on the first floor even though there is only a window onto on the street (the second-floor room with the balcony would be my second choice). I don't need a view from the room as I spend my time chilling in the 'Garden' with its fabulous view over the marina and Trogir. I really love this space and it's what brings me back. Great food, cocktails, and live music. It is perfect.

It's a bit tough to get your suitcase up the stairs as very narrow, especially if you're on the higher floors, but it's a one off

We stayed in Domus Maritima on our Way through Croatia for one Night. The check in is very easy, the room is very nice and clean, and the location is perfect for exploring Trogir. Everything in walking distance. The Restaurant just below the rooms is very nice! Our dog was welcome and there is parking nearby. We could have a late checkout on short notice with no problems. I would recommend Domus Maritima and will book again if we ever return to Trogir.

Room very comfortable, bathroom excellent. Location was excellent as was Restaurant below,staff & food excellent.

A fridge would have been a great addition as we were on a road trip.But my fault for not checking facilities list. Parking was indicated as €10 per day in our booking confirmation and it turned out to be €15per day. Luggage stand would have been very useful but room much smaller than we had expected from photographs.

The closeness to the old town of Trogir was great, a 10 minute walk and you’re over the bridge to the old town. The rooms are very well appointed & I just love the decor. The showers are amazing. The self check in and key less rooms was a first for me but worked well.

A little strange not having reception to go to if there are any issues ( for us, an unwell child) but otherwise it’s fine.

The view of Kamerlengo Castle and the Trogir marina from our room was absolutely breathtaking. We couldn’t believe how close we were to everything...just minutes from the shops, the marina, and even the best burek bakery (only a one-minute walk away!). Check-in was quick and effortless which made our arrival completely stress-free.

That we didn't book for a longer stay. What a lovely place.

Perfect place away from the crowds but close enough to wander in and see everything Trogir has to offer. Room was spacious and clean. Restaurant downstairs is an oasis with delicious food and drinks at very reasonable prices. Would definitely stay again, but would book a balcony view next time.

Would be great to have a fridge for basics like water

We had a great time. It is quiet, beds are comfortable. Also, the view is great. We had two rooms. I recommend that you stay there in the summer to take a balcony. Except that the view is stunning you need for the towels to dry … It’s a pity that the restaurant down was not managed by the same people. I hope it would be very pleasant having in mind the kindness of the people who run the Domus Maritima.
