Nice room. The area is quiet. The pool and breakfast is located right next door and is nice. The kids enjoyed swimming while we had coffee by the pool. AC and fan were great. You do have to go to the other hotel to access staff.. laundry was a good price

The location is decent, but it is a long walk from town, when carrying luggage or when you need to go back back-and-forth several times. The staff leaves the room keys for every room on a desk in the center, which made us feel a bit unsafe with leaving anything valuable in our rooms. There are no blankets only sheets but if you ask them, they will bring you a blanket. Staff is friendly overall a great value.

The hotel staff is very attentive and helpful. They had people waiting for us at the parking area to help us get tickets for the boat shuttle. Once we docked their was staff to bring us to the tour area to check in for the turtle tour we had that evening and then continued to walk us to the hotel. The rooms and common area were very clean. They had some umbrella and rain poncho available if you needed. It was great to have a pool to cool off in. Breakfast was very nice. The staff even brought breakfast to my daughter in her room since she wasn't feeling well. They really take care of all the details. Bring water with you since water here you can not drink.

The guest house and room was very clean and comfortable, although there was not often staff around when we wanted to ask things, except at check-in. The entrance to the accommodation is down a small black sand street quite tucked away from the centre of Tortuguero, but with the advantage of being quiet and peaceful. A good breakfast was served in the guest house next door, run by the same staff, and we were also able to use the swimming pool there, which was nice. Overall, a comfortable, clean and very reasonablly-priced place to stay in Tortuguero about a 10min walk from the main street

Initially, the location surprised us, being down a small dark sandy street, but otherwise the guest house itself is absolutely fine.

The coffee and water available. The breakfast and pool next door to use. The laundry service. Sitting on the balcony or at breakfast with monkeys around. One day a sloth was in the tree there. The staff were so helpful and Friendly. Free umbrellas to use in the rain. Towel hooks Although basic rooms, they are very comfortable, clean, daily towel change with towel art daily, free toiletries, sheet change every 3rd day. Excellent value for money.

Somewhere to hang clothes would be nice. A bin in the room. Would be even better if you could get drinks and snacks at Los amigos bar!

Breakfast was great, location was perfect, and we booked 2 tours with Caretta Tours who they are partnered with, Dieago was a great tour guide, and we got to see monkeys, iguanas, cayman, many different types of birds and even a sloth at the end. We also went on a turtle tour and saw 6, and 1 laying eggs very special. My children enjoyed alot. The staff at the hotel were friendly and the pool was great for the kids. Thank you for a great stay!!

The bathroom looked dirty from the cement, the door handle broke and the key was hard to get in with and the hammock broke when my daughter was sitting in it. But its not a deal breaker, if I returned I would 100% stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay. We had someone greet us at La Pavona parking lot, get us to our boat ride to town, and then once there we were walked to the hotel which was very helpful with all the pathways to navigate. We also booked the canoe tour once at the hotel and enjoyed that. Our room was comfortable, quiet, and the breakfast was served at the hotel close by. All was good during our stay but it was very humid in the room which was to be expected with the heavy rain while there. The staff were great!

Colourful and small with only 8 rooms so it was not noisy. Very clean and close to the town and the national park. AC was great. Information provided beforehand by hotel was very helpful in getting to Tortuguero from La Pavona, where you need to park your vehicle and get a boat. Minimise the luggage you need to carry.

Took a bit of time to get bearings on figuring out the path to and from the hotel, so was particularly annoying that no one met us at the dock, as most hotels did. Some simple maps would help. If no one meets you at the dock, go towards the national park entrance on the main road and ask at Carreta Tours. They own this and 2 other hotels. Cockerel crowing at 3am most mornings was a bit annoying but it's a small town so I guess it's the same everywhere.

Free Breakfasts at the adjoining Hotel Los Amigos were very good. The pool area was clean and attractive. Staff was kind and helpful. Someone met us promptly at the boat from La Pavona and had a cart ready for our luggage to the hotel. The instructions delivered by email through booking.com about arrival and the boat trip were very clear and helpful, NICE!. Made us feel safe and comforted by the Carey Hotel level of detail on the canal trip in.

Hotel is a bit out of the main town area but the sidewalks to the site seem safe and well lighted.

Very clean air conditioned room. We appreciated the outdoor tables and the pool access next door. On the last day we were able to get an earlier breakfast as our boat left at 7am.

Property was really difficult to find. I think we were supposed to have been picked up from the dock but as there was no one we relied on Google maps, which doesn’t show streets in the area. Of course it means that you are close to nature.

Super lovely small casa to stay over. The room was spacious, the beds comfy, a lovely terrace, a tap in the garden to clean your walking shoes if necessary. Delicous breakfast, nice small swimming pool to refresh after a hot day. And the most outstanding characteristic: the super friendly staff. They helped to organize all our trips and our transport to Puerto Viejo. Gerard eg is amazing.

Beside the casa they are working at a new house, which gave some noise only during the day, but normally that does not bother too much since during the day you are exploring nature and animals elsewhere 😉
