We greatly enjoyed the Wellington Heifer, with the exception of the excessive traffic noise off the main road passing the window of our room. But everything esle about the hotel itself was simply brilliant, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There was a very comfy bed, lots of room, loads of hot water when you needed it, large bath sheets and towels. We enjoyed a superb dinner in the evening and a hearty breakfast the following morning,. We cannot recommend it enough. Thank you very much to Wellington Heifer team for the really great hospitality, we really enjoyed it.

A little quieter in our room!

We only stayed here for one night as we were attending a wedding in the area, but what a fabulous stay. Rob welcomed us on arrival with such enthusiasm and professionalism it felt really well ran from the get-go. The room we stayed in was absolutely stunning. It was immaculately clean and the facilities were great also. Small things like USB ports next to the bed make all the difference. The bed was amazingly comfy, We slept great. Breakfast was also fantastic. The produce they use are very high quality, unlike most hotel breakfasts. Staff at breakfast was also very professional and attentive. Could not fault the stay at all. If we ever need accommodation in the area again, this will definitely be our first choice. Thank you for a great stay.

The host and staff were friendly and very welcoming. We immediately felt very comfortable there. The room was very well appointed with a lovely shower. We had an excellently cooked and presented evening meal from the set menu. Breakfast choices were comprehensive and again the food was of a very high standard and used locally sourced produce. For us, it was a prime location to break our journey from Scotland, just off the A1 but far enough away to enjoy the peace of village life. Rob should be proud of his pub and his staff.

All the staff were very friendly and Rob was a great host - very attentive. The food and service in the restaurant was very good. Soya milk in the room also a nice touch. I enjoyed the breakfast - the vegan sausages were much appreciated! The room was also warm which was good as the temperature started to plummet soon after arriving. The bed also 'just right'...I got a good night's sleep.

Not much really - the bathroom needed a touch up of paint in places but the room and bathroom were totally fine for my needs.

Excellent first impressions of the property with superb hanging baskets and all obviously well cared for. The staff throughout our stay could not have been better, friendly, helpful, efficient and always with a smile. Our room was as good as you could wish and we found it perfect for our four night stay. The food was excellent, breakfast just right and the evening meals could not be faulted, in fact we eat there every evening.all in all it was excellent value and we will return and recommend it to our friends and family.

Always love staying here, rooms are fantastic, immaculate and so comfortable. The food is so good and the staff very friendly and couldn't do enough. Cooked Breakfast very fresh and tasty which I always have.

Adult son would have liked some pastries and cold meat and cheese, continental choice if possible as cooked breakfast was not his choice. Other adult son who is vegetarian said vege sausages were not good, everything else on vege cooked breakfast good. Apart from that a very very enjoyable stay.

The pub was lovely. Drinks and food excellent. The room was comfortable and clean, it was large enough for a seating area and the window had a lovely view. There was fresh milk in a flask too. The bathroom was really nice.

It couldn't have been better really. The staff were there when we needed them. The dinner menu was great, food wonderful and the breakfast was tasty.

Good breakfast and good evening meals. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Room was comfortable but not what I was expecting. Ideal location for visiting North Yorkshire and North East. Near to Northallerton railway station.

Room was described as deluxe with beautiful views. Only view was the top of an aerial from a skylight window. The hotel did give us some free drinks and something off the bill, so can't complain. Could do with electric socket near mirror. ( partners only moan)

Everything. Value for money & good size room. Clean & comfortable with tea/coffee in room. Walk in shower was great. Staff very polite & welcoming. Breakfast included in the price. Cereal, fresh coffee, fresh juice & full English. Lovely stay & would certainly recommend

If I had one small gripe is that the room was on a main road and with the window open it could be quite noisy. It was a warm evening. When the window is closed it’s absolutely fine. Slept well.

Good choices for breakfast, very nicely presented. All staff and owner very helpful and pleasant. Very clean and comfortable surroundings.

Unfortunately for us the stairs felt quite steep, although the owner did carry some of our bags up on arrival. There needs to be a wardrobe and chest of drawers if one is staying more than one night.
