Rooms were clean ans spacious. Breakfast was versatile and staff was friendly.

The hotel is quite far from the city center, which caused us several issues with taxis. Local taxi drivers were often reluctant to drive such a long distance. One evening, a taxi driver dropped us off halfway and we had to walk the rest of the way along a busy road in the dark. On another occasion, we managed to get to the hotel, but the taxi driver charged an exorbitant fare because of the distance. The price was so high that, for the same amount, you could travel all the way to La Paz by minivan.

I stayed last year. It’s the views. Very clean comfortable place. Breakfast is very varied and plentiful whether you are there early or near the end. This year I had a balcony (shared with 3 others I was at start. ) I have to mention one staff member on reception Balenia. She was exceptional! I was going to Uros Island 1 night then return for final night. I wanted to keep my room instead so I could just go back in and also not pack a bag! Balenia checked their rate which is double what I got through booking.com for final night!? She suggested I see if booking.com rate was better. It was! Also could still cancel Fri night for free and make it Thurs and Fri . She suggested when I finished to message the property and ask to stay in my room. Which I did and was agreed. It was half what the hotel rate direct was (bizarre in my experience) Not only that when realising I was going to UROS she suggested I ring 0 and ask for the free oxygen. They give 10 mins free oxygen and she said it would help. It did.

You are a bit of a captive audience as it is quite a taxi ride to the centre of Puno. But the restaurant is good - especially breakfast. A bizarre one this but it uses the poorest standard of toilet paper compared to all other places I’ve stayed , including the homestay on UROS .

Hotel Jose Antonio is located a few minutes away from the main town of Puno. It's a large hotel with a view of the lake, a lovely dining room and a large lounge with cozy evening fireplaces. Good breakfast spead. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, with everything one required.

Since it's considered to be located 'out of town' by local tour operators, we had to pay 10 usd extra to get to the port to meet our tour group to the islands. It's actually only 10 minutes out of Puno center and that's what keeps the hotel peaceful.

Beautifully positioned on the lake and well out of town, so nice and quiet. Great restaurant on site with extensive breakfast. Efficient laundry service and very clean room, excellent shower. Really nice staff in the restaurant. Generous check out time. Very nice gift shop with a lovely lady who works there - thoroughly enjoyed my chats with her!

We liked everything but did find the double bed rather small - we ended up sleeping in separate beds. But minor issue compared to everything else - we were very happy!

The staff's attention was perfect. Kitchen was quite good and responsive and welcoming. It's a well polished and thought out operation. I honestly got back late enough that I probably didn't get to explore the room enough but I will mention it was the only bathtub I saw the whole time I was in Peru which was nice.

I don't even know that it's a complaint, but know that the hotel is a solid distance outside puno. Have a good side it means that you're away from The spill the noise of the city and get to enjoy more tranquil experience on the lake. The downside is just that you can't open the door and walk out and see different shops and places. You're pretty isolated there once you get to the hotel.

The entrance was very professional, with the reception and view of the gardens. For me, upon arrival at any accommodation, first impression is everything. The reception was warm and welcoming. There was a desk with a seated area and beautiful glass doors looking out to the garden area. There were little touches like flowers and vases on tables and I didn’t see any dirty dishes on tables. Everything was very tidy and clean.

There was nothing that I didn’t like about the property. I am a very fussy traveler, with 15 years experience in hospitality, and I am very honest with my reviews. The only thing that I would suggest to the management is to provide a small hand towel in the bathroom.

Breakfast was very good. The restaurant was good but the choice was somewhat limited and quality variable. Beds were very comfy indeed and room lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful when we asked for help.

The staff were very nice but knowing that we arrived late and only had one day there they could have been much more proactive in helping us organise a tour on the lake for the following day.

The amenities the attention of the staff the restaurant food. This is a very nice hotel well kept and would stay again if in Puno. Its also one of the two high end hotels in Puno.

It is far from center of town so their is not much to do once you get back to hotel. But taxi service is available so their is a solution

Very confortable stay. We even extended for one night. Confortable beds, great view on the lake, good facilities, hot water, heating, good breakfast. The best hotel in Peru so far. Puno is a chaotic, not very nice city so it is a good thing that the location is at the outskirts. We had a rented car so it was not a problem for us to move around.

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was comfortable, clean, great breakfast, good value for money and the staff was amazing. Very kind and helpful. Eduardo and Ursula at the restaurant offered very good advice on food for the first day due to the altitude, Shirley at reception and Nestor at the door are always helpful and kind. Food at the restaurant was very good, tasty and with variety. We highly recommend it.
